Yeah. Title says it all. I'm pretty used to passing at a glance already, and I generally assume I'm being casually read as male, but this guy has heard me talk - in fact, I was just talking (in that high-pitched voice I can't help using when I'm being shy - I was offering my seat to an older lady in the class who couldn't see the board) just before he referred to me. And I'm pretty sure he knows my birth name. And he still used the right pronoun without hesitation.
Whoot! Awesome dude.
Thats awesome :)
Cool.
I hope you give him a nice eval. ;)
Cool!
May I ask, what's a TA?
Teaching assistant - (in US colleges and universities) a graduate student who leads the smaller discussion sections or lab sessions of a large undergraduate course.
And does the grading. That's key. It's not like full professors every have to grade introductory classes tests. It's just too depressing. So they farm it out.
awesome dude!!!
Yeah, they also do the grading.
This class isn't that depressing to grade though - it's the second quarter of a programming sequence that has a full year of calculus as a prerequisite. The herd has been thinned.
