(this is crossposted from my blog to get replies)
since surgery is a month away, might as well note what I'll be packing in case I need more junk
- TEDS
chucks pads (for the hotel bed)
ultrathin pads for me
hibiclens for the stents
the stents (duh)
lube
hydrogen peroxide
magnesium citrate (yuck)
3 fleet enemas x_x
1 60ml syringe, slip tip
2 3ml syringes
cranberry tabs for uti reduction
probiotics (intestinal health)
injection supplies
container to clean stents in
meds
paperwork
laptop
both phones
ps3 controller
power adapter for phones (usb charging)
gauze in case
trash bag for the convenience of hotel staff
clothing (duh) including tossable panties for when they get bloody
and me :)
any ideas of what to take or toss? (some of it is what reed wants, others what I want for aftercare)
Things that you may need (whether you supply them locally or they do):
Reusable douche "Faultless Tiny Kit"
Distilled water
Vinegar
Sitz bath
Toilet paper
Paper towels
A travel clock (for dilations if a clock is not easily visible and for Sitz baths in the bathroom)
Cranberry juice
Prune juice
Bran flakes
(You get the idea. :) )
What's the hydrogen peroxide for? Considering on becoming a blonde flan lol? And just the PS3 controller? O_o
Isn't an Orchi a keyhole sometimes local only outpatient thing? You sure are well supplied it's a commendable trait. :D

peroxide is for douching (I'm going for srs, reed recommends iodine/peroxide/water)
the ps3 controller is for ps2/1 games via emulator :)

i should get the douche kit but reed's novel idea is to hack the catheter to double as a douche kit (using the 60ml syringe)
paper towels/tp will be bought locally
my winmo phone will be my alarm clock

PS3 controller can be used on a the PC emulators? *Googles* Oh wow crickey isn't that something, well I don't just learn one new thing everyday I learn 2 or 3 new things from you apparently.
Are you taking a friend?
the only thing I could think to add would be a couple good books or a Kindle, and maybe some DVD's for hands free entertainment. :) Sounds like you're ready to go!
Um, something to play music? - and night gowns, will save you faffing about with pants and such.
Teddy bear...seriously you will thank me for that idea.

thanks for the feedback from everyone so far
Well I don't know if you can pack this but I'll send it anyway.
Here is a package of hugs, luck and well wishes.
I'll sneak it in next to the toothe paste.
For an alternative douche solution you might also want to look at a providone iodine solution prep. It's sold as Betadine and/or Videne. You dilute it before use so a couple of bottles would probably see you through the initial healing, after which there are more bio natural things you can use to keep a clean and normal flora going down there.
Flan - I know you are probably going to have to follow the doctors reccomendations but for anyone else who is wondering about this I just thought it might be useful to know of the alternative.
Nice idea about the syringe and catheter too!
I didn't see the 'Donut' Pillow to sit on.
Good point, about the donut, although not all of us used them. I personally found it to be far more trouble than it was worth, easier just to sit well forward on the seat.

Thanks for letting me know. I was kinda worried about that being uncomfortable.
ugh, I've neglected to note everything on the list :|
box of wet wipes and a buckwheat hull neck pillow/donut are coming with.

overdoing douching after healing can lead to yeast infections or bacterial vaginatius (sp?) due to disruption of intravaginal flora (post op it tends to have a similar environment to pre-pubescent women due to lack of cycles or something like that).

And I AM volunteering. ( to be sympathetic, hugable, and even give additional services. i. e. water when thirsty, and hugs when warranted etc.)
Hi FlanHusky
Talk about being ignorant, I also thought you was only going to only get an 'orchi' I am afraid you signature put me on the wrong track. I apologize for reading it wrong.
Anyway, I wish you all the best for your up and coming 'spaying' process and like Sarah R, I hope you can share your journey with the rest of us.
Take care and all the best for the future.
Kindest regards
Sarah B
PS If I have any surgery in the future, I will bring my Raggedy Anne doll along with my mum (she wished she was present when I had my surgery all those years ago)
