So next summer is going to be my first summer presenting as a woman, and I really want to be able to go swimming with my girlfriend and other friends over the break. I'm going to pick out a nice skirted one piece swimsuit and tuck really carefully, but I'm still not sure what to use to fill out the breast area of the swimsuit. I'm pretty sure that my breast forms are not water/chlorine proof so I don't want to be using them. Does anyone here have any suggestions about what I could use instead?
I have used these with excellent success ;D

I use one and they are the best. You may need to use Skin Prep (http://wound.smith-nephew.com/uk/Product.asp?NodeId=2062), if you break out like I did the first time using them.
you can buy swimsuits and bikinis with pockets in the bust area to put your breast forms in and works really well. I did this for a while until I could ditch them, lol.
Just look around, the slightly more expensive costumes usually have them.

Which is what I did through my teens and early 20's.

ditto! lol ;D ya think everyone's got a problem with small breasted women? I am a *female* who, because of a "no CD" court order, must continue to dress male so am actually *thankful* larger breasts are not really an issue while swimming this year:
lol the *irony/stupidity* of it all because how is the court gonna otherwise stop me from *looking* female nonetheless! "
Err, maam? Why did that kid just call you daddy"?

Haha ;D
It is the reverse for me, I have small but perky breasts but I have not been able to stay tucked as I have gotten significantly smaller. Tips for that are also appreciated.
Swimming is one of my all time passions and after I did not need my sponge breasts (hey this is 20 years ago). I got back involved in competition swimming and of course won some medals. So my bathing suits were always were one piece and still are because of the nature of the type of swimming that I do. Before I did any form of swimming, I always had my bathing suit on before entering the pool and I was tucked extremely well. Then of course it was, train, swim competitively and after swimming have a shower (on several occasions), yes you guessed it naked. I was not going to let anything get in my way of having a 'normal' life or give up anything that I enjoyed immensely.
I have never worn bikinis to old, modest and I thought my body did not suit bikinis oh well one can dream and in addition to my swimming, I helped the asthma foundation teach children to swim who had asthma in a hydrotherapy pool once a week on a Saturday morning.
This all started from around 6 months to 9 months after I started my change. Why was I so successful at it? I was confident, discrete and I was just being myself and doing what I loved the most.
One of my most embarrassing moments was after a 50 metre competition swim, I was getting out via a ladder and one of the guys (old guy) said very discretely "one of my breasts was hanging out of my bathers", I put it back in and said thank you very much, while my face went a deep purple.
If someone asks about the size of your breasts, say "I'm a late developer or I have always had small breasts". So go and enjoy the beach or swimming pool, but whatever you do, do not give up on what you like doing.
Kind regards
Sarah B

No. Like I do every time I go out.
I don't use my RT pic because of anonymity issues. I express some pretty intimate thoughts here, and I don't need someone who doesn't like me (and the way I harass the ->-bleeped-<- Mafia that runs the Pride Center here, there are plenty) spreading my intimate thoughts around the community.

That's part of a child custody agreement? How did that happen and where do you live?
This seems like an interesting subject in itself. How about if you start a new thread, and tell us the details?

Do you ever wear make-up when you go out? Cause if you do, you're not showing your "real" face ::)

->-bleeped-<- mafia? I'm new here so I might be wrong.. but that kinda sounds homophobic to me.. is this persona a homophobe?
As for swimming, I have no idea what I'm gonna wear to swim pools :( I'd like to wear a bikini, but I dont know if i'll actually wear one

... blah, blah, blah. Excuses, excuses. You are doing just what you reprimand her for doing regardless of how you justify it. We all have body issues obviously, your response was condescending and completely unhelpful.
I think every girl is self-conscious about their bathing suit/body. Don't worry about it and just enjoy yourself. I wouldn't do the breast forms, you can buy a bikini top that has some padding anyways.

I really do like this idea, goes back to my street racing days "Run what ya brung" I Love it......

Like most women my age, I wear makeup. And I'm not showing my real legs when I wear stockings or my real feet when I wear shoes, if you want to take your argument to absurdity.

"->-bleeped-<- Mafia" is a deliberately insulting term, which I did not make up, or apply to this group of people. Many of the lesbians in the community refer to them this way, because there is real substantial hostility between the groups; and we are angry at the way the men outnumber us, and use the tyranny of the majority to dominate.

There is nothing similar about choosing to maintain one's anonymity on an internet message board, and the way one behaves in public.
You just don't like my argument, and are using ad hominum attacks to denigrate the source, rather than facing the real issue. Moreover you are setting yourself up, as the judge for everybody, about what is helpful or not, disregarding previous comments that agree with me. What I said was not helpful
to you.
What's with all the hostility people?

That was uncalled for. I asked, politely, for advice.... not for someone to tell me to present in a way that I am insecure and uncomfortable with, especially when I have finally found the courage to go full time.
To everyone else, thank you very much for your advice. I will keep it all in mind.
You have alot of nerve, asking for advice, and then criticizing advice you don't like. With that kind of nerve, you could probably swim naked in a public pool.
Let's get back on topic, Ladies. I don't wish to lock a topic when one was asking for help. If you can help move on.
But stop the snarking at each other.
OH sweetie, I hope you don't think I was saying anything hostile, I have learned over the many years I have been afraid of being outed or didn't pass that the simple things really do work.........
Ontop of stick on breast forms/bras and padded types you can also find swimsuits that have built in pushups... you can use a little costume double sided tape to stick yourself to the cups and pull things into looking proper.

Look for swim suits with miracle bra tops... the built-in helps keeping the breast forms in place...
