This week I visited a unversity for attending some workshops and talking with my friend who is a professor on statistics there. After finishing workshops, we went together to Seoul by train.

It's spring, but was still chilly. I wore athletic leggings under long tee. Heels were out of consider, as I had to carry a really heavy bag containing books, a laptop PC, and of course some cosmetics.
He always considers me as a man, as I am good at math and analysis. He does not like my crossdressing, but endures it anyway. However, for the first time, he praised my legs saying like "your legs are so slim". While walking together with me in the street, he said that many people looked at me behind. I replied that I can not see behind and do not know about that.
I heard that, without heels, actually leggigs can legs look shorter, but I was a little bit relieved as my friend praised my legs even with flat shoes.
I have more than 10 pairs of leggings. Some are with rings to hold on to the foot. Mostly black or grey, but some are blue and red. I wish to wear red ones, but never did outdoors https://www.susans.org/forums/MGalleryItem.php?id=2045 (https://www.susans.org/forums/MGalleryItem.php?id=2045) .
Anyway, tights and legging are for spring, and I will wear more!

I thought they were more of a fall-early winter style? Isn't spring and summer the time to bare it all (pun intended).
I am now in Japan, and I can say that 90% of young women here wear tights and leggings. Leggings here are far more popular than in my country. I seldom see women wear stockings. I still think stockings is better than leggings for Japanese girls.
I ran to sightsee the city here while wearing pantyhose under short athletic pants. As few women run outdoors here, many people paid attention to me, probably because my behavior (running in the street) is unusual.

Dress responsibly for the ocasion there Barbee. Look ,here in Virginia , the weather has been all over the map ! I still wear a wool skirt and its almost May ! Now my other half likes the leggings . I think thats wonderful . Me , I'm old fashioned and wear tights or hose . I just don't think an ole gal like me needs to be in a younger womans line . Ellen

I think leggings are not so much fashionable for most women here, but wearing them anyway make people look a little bit younger. I am also approaching 50s, understanding what you mean.

While returning to my country, I wore leggings under long tee. As I carried several heavy bags, leggings was very comfortable to wear. Other girls wore leggings with high heels, but I had no choice but sneakers.
For avoiding potential skin problem in my hip, I am now wearing nylon pantystockings under short pants. Leggings prevent ventilation. Weather here is warming this weekend.

here in the uk nearly all the girls i see wear leggings for like 9 months of the year, some all year round lol
Leggings are great. def a wardrobe staple for me.

I think leggings are one of the greatest inventions of all time. They look fashionable (at least on me they do) they're comfortable and I just plain love them.
I love leggings. I have a few pair in black and two in denim color. I really wished they made other colors for plus size gals. :( Anyway, leggings are wonderful to wear. I should get me some tights too.
Capris leggings under long tee do not seem to be so bad.
Yesterday it was like a summer, and I wore capris tights today. I visited my mother-in-law's home with my family, as yesterday was mother's day here. Familes of my brothers-in-law also joined. Although it was a short trip of < 30 min by car, I noticed people in the street, especially women, stared at me. My daughter shouted like "my dad is like a woman, isn't it?" Nowadays, my relatives do not seem to be so much interested in my fashion. My mother-in-law just mentioned my hair, as I got magic straight treatment yesterday.
Also in my apartment, neighbor women watched my fashion, which is not unusual. Probably most of them know who I am, but some visitors probably have no clue on me.

You look very nice (and comfortable!) in your pictures, Barbie. I agree that they are comfortable to wear, although I still prefer my dresses/skirts with stockings.

Thanks Rose. Yes. They are very comfortable. I do not think the photos look very nice, but tonight I enjoyed some episodes with that attire.
I ran for about 2.5 hours from my home to an island park near a beach. I could feel that most people watch me. I could see drivers in the car turn their heads to me. Some young men in motorcycles turned their heads, making me worry about traffic accidents. In the beach, some women's eyes met with mine. A woman turned her head back several times to study my face in the beach.
In the island park, I came cross a former director of a government institute. He is about 15 years older then me, and will retire soon, if he can not get another position. He was strolling in the island park to sit on a bench there. He recognized me. I am not quite sure whether he saw my faked boobs and lipstick, but he mentioned a popular TV actor who is famous for feminine face. He said I am as much beautiful as him. Probably it is fortunate that he did not mention any actress, which I hope but not in this kind of circumstance (recently he applied for the director position of my institute). I said goodbye to him by promising to have dinner together very soon.
And just ago at midnight, I had a phone call from the police station near the beach. The police officer said somebody found my wallet in the beach to report and leave it in the station. I replied that I will take it tomorrow. I guess I left it in the front of a vending machine in the beach. The wallet contains several credit cards and id cards with small cash. The police officer said he will let know the person who found my wallet. Just hope that he (or she) did not see me in the beach.

That is a problem here in my country, jannelle.
Most women here wear tights and leggings for street fashion, not for exercising outdoors. Together with my unusual height as woman (6 feet), running while wearing tight tights and tops probably attracted so much attention. And, I can enjoy such attention, making running no so much boring for me. I prefer running in a crowd.

Barbie, I love the top. I'm not a big fan of capris, but I too like to go out and walk with them on. I feel more athletically feminine. Plus, it helps me to remind myself what areas I want to fix up so that I look good in other outfits. ;)
