Title: Remove the grey area above lips
Post by: Megan on April 17, 2010, 10:49:42 PM
I shaved above my life, for the first time really, and I am left with a grey area for some reason. It's not the actual hair I guess, but it's just a grey shade there. Is there anyway to remove this, and why is it there?

Beard shadow.  It is under the skin.  The only way to eliminate it is buy laser or electrolysis.  Or cover up

One advantage of having tanned face is to cover up the shade above lips. I guess you have very fair face as you worry about it. I usually pluck hairs by using very sharp tweezers. My facial skin is not so fair, and I usually ignore the grey area. Or, I do not care whether they read me or not  ;D.

Foundation can work wonders, make sure you leave it a while after you shave before applying the foundation though otherwise it can get into little nicks and cuts you cant see and irritate the skin and even cause whiteheads to form. Also make sure that the foundation is the right shade for your skin tone (even more important if you just use it for trouble areas)

Dabbing on some hydrogen peroxide can bleach it a bit. Available from most chemists.

yeah i hate it i have it too :( but aparently orange makeup of anykind, lipstick, eyeshadow, blush, foundation or cover creams work when wanting to neutralise the colour of grey areas etc.
the power of makeu-up :) until electrolosys or something
