Going in a different direction than my last post.
I had been on hormones before surgery and for most of the years after. It was only in the last 3 or 4 years that my primary care physician, who is well versed with my past, suggested we scale back on the estrogen. To my surprise I found an increase sex drive. This was all good news for me and my husband. I'm also pleased that things like hair growth have remained muted. Today I take my dosage every couple of weeks. Things seem to pretty stable.
Have others experienced this?

29 years on estrogen - no problems with sex drive - an increase would not be good as it's already reasonably high, so no.
And when I went in to charing cross for my recent little update surgery I asked about estrogen dosage as I am approaching the age of the change of life. To my surprise the endocrinologist who deals with transwomen told me absolutely emphatically that on NO ACCOUNT was I to reduce the dosage from the standard postop levels and he even wrote to my GP about it saying that he must not reduce the dose. Our dosages are for life.
He did explain the reasons - but I can't remember the details of why unfortunately. So you might want to check that out with an endocrinologist who specialises in transwomen.
My sex drive is way to high for my own good. o_0
I'm in the same boat as Natalie.
As a guy, I had a fairly viral sex drive. When my hormone levels aren't right these days though, that drive comes back with a vengeance. It's actually rather annoying.
I always stop and think "How the hell did I live like that before???"
When I was young I was pretty wild (I transitioned & had SRS at 24 and it was the time of Flower Children - of which I were one LOL! ::) ) - I practiced a policy of "Catch & Release". If someone asked "how many", I honestly didn't know - lost count :o
But two marriages and 12 years of being taken for granted pretty much killed my sex drive, which remained dead for a long time.
In my 50's I started exercising, getting in better shape, Improved my self-image a lot, saw an endo who knew what she was doing and got my estrogen level back to where it should be and my libido returned with a vengeance! Now, approaching 61, my boyfriend keeps asking me if I am legal (over 18) LOL!
