Title: When I get Old...
Post by: Pica Pica on April 26, 2010, 02:38:17 PM
...And I mean seriously old, when I am all prune faced and such - I'm going to spend all my time fooling people that I'm a little old lady.

I'd like that, too... Except maybe not fooling them. :P

You want to not fool them, or you want them to actually be a little old lady.

When I am an old woman I shall wear purple
With a red hat which doesn't go, and doesn't suit me.
And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves
And satin sandals, and say we've no money for butter.
I shall sit down on the pavement when I'm tired
And gobble up samples in shops and press alarm bells
And run my stick along the public railings
And make up for the sobriety of my youth.
I shall go out in my slippers in the rain
And pick flowers in other people's gardens
And learn to spit.

You can wear terrible shirts and grow more fat
And eat three pounds of sausages at a go
Or only bread and pickle for a week
And hoard pens and pencils and beermats and things in boxes.

But now we must have clothes that keep us dry
And pay our rent and not swear in the street
And set a good example for the children.
We must have friends to dinner and read the papers.

But maybe I ought to practice a little now?
So people who know me are not too shocked and surprised
When suddenly I am old, and start to wear purple.

Already started, I wear purple, spend money on brandy, bread and pickle for a week, well did cheese sandwiche a day for a month.

Don't tell anyone, but I ride on swings and climb the monkey bars too.

haha so do I! And don't forget wearing peppermint extract as perfume, dancing in the rain as if you had no better sense, and whispering secrets with your imaginary friends. ;)

I wear a lot of purple too - I once gave that poem to a bishop, luckily he laughed and didn't call a crusade.

Being an old lady is almost perfect future for me I think - which is weird cos I would be dreading it if I were a woman.

As for songs, Start Wearing Purple...

When I am old (year 2051 will make 60) I am probably on some life-extension plan to keep my youth or whatever left I have of it, if not reversing the effects of aging had on my body.

I want to live as long as I possibly can, since I think the future will be the best times of my life. It's just this time period is transitioning from ancient times to modern age, technology just improve within the last 100 years, it barely touched the possibilities of the future. When technology has been around for thousands of years then I'll say it reaches its peak.

It's an exciting age to live in too.

Ima gonna wear one of those old lady dressing gowns that is that horrible shade of beige-pink, slippers in the same colour, no bra (so that the outlines of my saggy boobs are visible), curlers in my hair and an unlit cigarette in my mean old mouth.
Then I'll go around supermarkets and shoplift condoms.
Oh, and I'll smell like cat pee (important detail).

*snicker*

At 50 I'm already 10 years older than I ever thought I would be. I don't ever want to be a typical old woman.

Twenty years from now I fully intend to be mountian biking, jumping out of planes, riding motorcycles and having fun doing up an old classic car, oh and lots and lost of great sex with whoever is my partner at the time!

Now we'll just have to wait and see if nature accomodates my wishes. :D

ye, some things in the future are a matte of wait and see, and some are matter of make things happen.

The hard part is telling which is which sometimes.

Sometimes I think I'm psychologically like a closet FtM stuck in an MtF body ;)

PS - and I wouldn't have it any other way! ;D So don't go thinking I'm having any secret regrets folks... I love the way I am!

...........I want my knees to work.

I still want to be me.

I hope there will be a third choice on the GI section of anthing.

The supreme court in the US has finally said a marriage is between two people, and we are all free.
