Now I'm on T, do I follow the RDA (recommended daily allowance) for women or men?
Does the same apply for alcohol units?
Thanks :)
Just a suggestion.
Alcohol and any other drugs, avoid them.
Calories and such, irrelevant. By the look of you, you don't need to lose weight.
I don't need to lose weight, I need to put it on, but that's not the point.

Keeping track of your calories isn't just for someone who needs to lose weight. They're also for people who need to maintain their weight or gain.
I usually go with an average between the two numbers, for whatever it is that I need. If you're trying to gain weight, go with the larger (male) number.
ETA: Oh, and for the alcohol, there is no RDA. So I'm not sure what you're asking there unless you know something I don't.
I think calorie intake should be determined on a person to person basis. Everyone has different body types and metabolic rates and activity levels, so I don't see how it makes sense to even have a set amount of calories that everyone should supposedly eat.
Eat however much you feel you need to eat to keep a healthy weight. Eat more if you've been active or want to gain weight, less if you want to lose weight....

We have an RDA type thing for alcohol here in the UK. Alcohol is measured in units and men/women shouldn't exceed however many units per day/week
there are some really picky online calorie calculators that you should be able to put in something to the effect of "small male" or "very very active woman". i would follow somewhere around those two.
testosterone should definately make your metabolism that of a male. the only concern would be sizewise

Oh wow. Learn something new everyday.
I'd still average the number. If it feels right to you, then that should be okay. Always drink in moderation (as with all things in life, really).
Not male. The reason males have a faster metabolism is in large part due to much greater muscle mass. Until you've reached normal male levels of muscle, somewhere in between.
I found out how many calories I was burning and then adjusted to closer to that.

I tend to drink on Friday nights (2 drinks) so I have a splurge night and don't feel completely deprived.

Actually that's not an RDA, the RDA for alcohol is "zero units".
That is "well if you're gonna drink, DO NOT EXCEED this!"
The alcohol is averaged more by the "size" of a person than anything else, so I'd stick with the girls' maximum. Unless you're a freak of nature like me...
Yeah, I know, but there isn't an acronym for "well if you're gonna drink, do not exceed this!".
I'm not a big drinker at all anyway. Half a pint of cider and I'm tipsy!
at my height and weight, half a cider has about the same impact on my level of drunkenness as a cup of coffee...
It's two or three pints of cider in that I get "tipsy".. :/
Needless to say, I don't drink to get drunk as that'd be terribly expensive...
I wish we had cider... :(
I'd say wait and see what your body seems to want. Though I had to go on and off T a couple times and thus had some strange back-and-forth results, I finally got on it for good in March 2009, and have seen some incredible things take place as per my body. In March, I weighed 250 lbs, wore size 40 pants, and size XXL shirts. I wanted to lose weight, so I cut myself back to 2000 calories/day, and made sure I was eating healthily. By last December, I was 185 lbs, size 31 jeans, size M shirts.
Since then, I've gotten pretty lax in my eating habits. I've gone back to a lot of the nasty things I used to eat, like snack cakes and Cheetos. Here's the weird part: I think I've probably gone up to at least 3000 calories per day, but I keep losing weight. This is particularly strange because I started eating more so I'd still be able to wear the clothes I have (can't afford to keep buying smaller and smaller sizes).
That said, I think everyone's body reacts differently to T. You may gain weight, you may lose. Chances are you'll begin gaining muscle whether or not you're working out, but if you want to increase weight/muscle gain, I'd recommend a diet very high in protein. I eat meat for two out of three meals a day, and the majority of my weight is muscle, without working out.

After how many months on T did you REALLY begin to notice your weight loss?
I've been on T for a month but my mind is impatient to see my body's results
You'll find you'll randomly put on weight, i put on half a stone with in the first 4-5 months.
Not sure if i've put more on, if i have i cant see it like the other half stone.
