Title: Freckles.
Post by: pebbles on May 06, 2010, 11:48:28 AM
This isn't abnormal right? When I was a little kid I had quite alot of freckles however they just sorta vanished as I got older. I do wear sunscreen but with the sun of spring now in full flow I've noticed I'm becoming all spotty, it's not just on areas exposed to the sun it's all over my arms shoulders and around my eyes and nose.

I don't mind I'm perfectly happy to be a freckly in addition to all the other things I apparently am.
I checked on causes of sudden freckles and it said "Hormone Abnormalities" I'm not clear what counts as an abnormality whether re-rewriting your biochemistry with medication is "abnormal or not"

Anyone else experienced this change?

i think the hormone changes would count as abnormalities in whatever it was you got your info from.

Freckles can be quite endearing.

I want a few, my mother has some.

But I think I am too dark to have them.

Nothing wrong with freckles.

I consider it a gift (If I were you). Losing my hair would be a curse, or something.

But whatever.

Hey There Delilah.

If your taking Estrogen maybe it's to do with that? i know with my bio puberty i got a lot more freckles, so yeah probs just to do with the hormones. If your worried about it though have a chat with your doc.

Yup, nuther one here with freckles! Always had 'em and after 60 years I still got 'em. Not very often anybody calls them "cute" anymore though.

After I visited Fiji a few years ago I developed a small number of freckles on my face. Then I quit smoking, and I developed even more freckles. HRT gave me yet more freckles! I'm not covered in freckles, but there are a few there if you look closely. I'm thinking of getting them removed with laser.

I've always had a few but have a few more since starting HRT, especially in the face. Then again I actually like leaving the house a lot more than I used to :)

I totally agree.

I hope this isn't something that effects us guys.. I don't know if I have space for anymore freckles.
