Chaz Bono made it official today.
A Santa Monica judge granted Chaz permission to change his name and gender following his 2009 sex change surgery, which he began shortly after his 40th birthday.
Chaz, born to Sonny and Cher Bono in 1969, was named Chastity Sun Bono. He now wants to be known as Chaz Salvatore (Sonny's given name) Bono.

It's official, Chastity Bono is now Chaz Bono. A year after undergoing a sex change, Bono is now considered a man by the law. A California judge granted him a gender and name change on Thursday.
But all we keep hearing is "she was so beautiful, how could she do this to herself?" and well, it's getting annoying.
