So the place I got to for electrolysis also does laser which I finally asked about, and the price they gave me for full face laser removal is $200 per session, every 4 weeks or so. I was wondering how that stacks up against what other people pay or have paid for laser sessions... any thoughts?
I pay $125 per session for mine.
I was wondering about this too, when a local place I found offered a $100 discount for the first session if I sign up online for a consultation.
That seems a bit high; is electro also as expensive?

Electro iss $90/hr which I already know is high, and part of why I asked about laser :P. I haven't comitted to anything yet, planning on calling some other places for comparison at some point.
Mine was also 200 per session for the whole face. Electro is 75 per hour the same place for comparison.
There are cheaper places around, but I'm actually happy with my laser results, while those who went to cheaper places seem to believe laser doesn't work. There may be no meaningful correlation between how much you pay and how effective laser is, but based on my experience I would be judging a lot more things than price alone before looking elsewhere.

Thanks. The place I go to is a husband and wife team who are pretty nice, and their place is very professional looking. My only issue has been the price, and the fact that electro seems to be going very slow (slower than I expected even), but having only gone to the one place I don't have any point of reference to know if it's actually going slow or not.
Mine is £25-£35 per session which is about $36 I'm actually getting great results.
It's a little known local place in my area There hair removal is abit of an afterthought they normally use the machine for tattoo removal but functionally it's the same thing.

This compared to before where I paid a stupid amount and wasted good money getting IPL ¬_¬ which was over £100 per treatment.
CA$262.50/session for full face and neck; once every five weeks. Baywood Clinic, just north of Wellesley and Bay in Toronto
Mines £150 for full beard, side burns and cheeks. seems to be working pretty well as well, the beard is definitely patchy after just two treatments

I got a package deal (full face and front of neck) with Amerejuve of six sessions with two-years of free or reduced price ($30) touch-ups for just under $1100. They also provide financing via Care Credit with 12 months no interest.
The price is spot on (I was quoted $165/session), it's the length of time between sessions that seems odd. The growth cycle is really about 6 weeks, so at 4 weeks, you won't be getting maximal results. Those extra 2 weeks start to add up after 6 sessions (it might be the difference between having 6 sessions and having 9).
I'm going with Ideal Image, they are really pricey, about 4700 total for full face chest and whatever other areas I wanna work on, total of 9 sessions, one every 10 weeks, but they are guaranteed for life!
these super new laser machines aren't so expensive so the prices quoted are really just rip-offs but as they are effective on darker hair then they are worth paying...do the math for ten sessions of laser versus a lifetime of razors and shaving cream...and add a factor for all the angst of waking up rough and hairy and the laser price seems a bargain.
my usual salon has just bought latest laser machine so I'll ask for that today and see what it is like.
Machine they have been using is only about a years old and is called a Soprano which sends out a fast series of pulses rather than the big single zaps of other machines.
A little late to the thread, but I thought I'd chime in. I paid $800 for a year's worth of laser, starting with one every month for three months, then one every two weeks for the rest of the year. The clinic used to offer a package for five treatments, but found that it rarely removed enough hair, so now they only offer year's packages.
I've had about six sessions and about a 50% reduction in hair, and they said that's an amazing level of reduction so far. (But they also said they hadn't even gone up to maximum power for me, like they would for most people with my skin tone. But that I was still having better results than most anyone else.)
I've heard of other people paying $100-250 per session, and talking about things like getting three sessions of laser and having most of it gone. That seems both more expensive and much faster than what I'm getting, so maybe my providers just like to spread out the treatment for safety reasons or something, and use less laser each time.
Full face: $150-$200 per session in my neck of the woods.
For laser I heard of prices in the $60-150 range here.
For a newbie looking into this, the price range isn't too bad, but how many "session" are required?
$180 Aussie with a medical grade laser (extra ouch!) every 6 weeks. It seems to be working well.
oi! .. You guys are getting it cheap ... the place I went wants to charge 400.00 for face and neck (technically 600, but she said she'd just do the neck when she did the face.)
Maybe I should shop around a bit.

That sounds waaaaayy high. I live in a large US city, and the prices tend to be all over the place. I'd definitely shop around. For $300-400/session, where I live gets you both legs (upper and lower) done.

Depends who you ask, and how much hair there is to clear, your skin type, skin color and hair color.
Many places like to sell you a 6 session package with each session spaced 4-6 weeks apart (depending on the body part being treated). You may need more or less than 6 sessions. Some other places take a more practical, individualized approach and charge you on a per visit basis.
