Title: I'm New
Post by: Cysmum on May 19, 2010, 02:49:59 PM
Just a quick intro. I'm the of two transgendered children ... one MTF and one FTM. I'd enjoy getting to know other parents of trans children.

Hectic is the life of a parent of 2 trans kids... Especially when one of them is me. :D

I dunno if we've ever had 3 people from the same fam join up before. This should be interesting. :P

yes! And we can make a mom's section so they can talk about why children need to realize that after 20-30 years of using one pronoun it's very confusing to start using another. :P

Hi Cysmum, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 4800 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another SO. :icon_hug:

And be sure to check out these links ( MUST READS )

Hugs and Love,
Janet

Hi there! I'm fairly new myself, but thought I'd join the welcoming commitee! ^^

Wow, that must have been quite a time for all of you in the beginning. :o

A hectic life is a given for all parents  ;) ... but I'll admit, Cy sure makes our lives interesting to say the least. LOL

It would be great to have a Mom's (or parents) section to talk about such things and, yes, it is extremely confusing to start using another pronoun after so many years and in my particular case; multiply that times two! LOL

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome.

MOM! WELCOME! Cyrus probably hasn't told you yet but I'm your future daughter-in-law, it's so nice to finally meet you :) Just kidding. I've heard a lot about you and how can we not give you a giant hug for being the supportive, loving mother that you are? You know you are special and we all appreciate you being here. It's a great resource we've got here but it's even better when parents join because they can help others through the confusion. Anyway, hope to see you around :) Your future daughter-n-law, Meghan

PS, I can call you Mom right?

Hi Meghan, it's so nice to finally meet you! Hmmm, Cy's been holding out on me - he never mentioned that I had a future daughter in law ... shame on him! The mom is always the last to know. LOL Yes, this is a fabulous place for information, support and camaraderie. I look forward to getting to know you better and welcome you to the family :). Please do call me Mom.
