Did anyone happen to catch a recent episode of Jerry springer, where a FTM is on the show and telling his gf he was born a women. (The show is called Lesbian sexcapades, which just shows his disrespect!)
Jerry only would refer to him as a "she" and a women and basically told the gf to dump him because not only was he a "liar" but he also is a "women" and not a real "man" and was only pretending and faking.
WTF!!!!!!!! ???
Well... I hate Jerry Springer, too. ^-^
Jerry Springer has little credibility as is. Anything for ratings.
Jerry Springer is all faked though. I remember they had a behind the scenes series type thing on MTV where they showed all the actors and stuff.

I wouldn't be surprised.
that guy and his show represents literally everything i resent and despise on TV
It's a stupid, vapid, faked TV show. In the words of Confucious: Ten million Red Chinese don't give a ->-bleeped-<-.
No one goes on Jerry Springer to get treated with respect.
nawh, really? Jerry springer has no respect for minorities?
What else is new?, the sky is blue?
I despise the Jerry Springer show, and have never watched more than a few minutes of it, because it's all about ridiculing people and their lives.
I think most of the stories are fabricated too, you can tell they're memorizing lines and role playing.
One episode had a trans women expose her true identity to her boyfriend and the whole crowd went ballistic and were yelling out, "You're a man!" over and over. It made me sick to my stomach.
Jerry just smiled and even encouraged the heckling. He's made money from making fun of others, even if they're stories aren't true, someone at home may actually be living it for real, and how does it make them feel? >:(
Despicable man, despicable show.
That's quality television right there.
The show I was talking about. It's supposed to be outrageous and offensive.

The smiley says it all.
I hate television in general, i don't think i've ever seen a show that had a minor character who played a transperson who was not made fun of, or made to be laughed at. Gosh darn, i hate the world today.
I never really liked Jerry Springer. Whether it's acted out or not it often seems offensive..
Offensive gains attention!
I'm guessing many people here watched the episode, if only out of shock and disgust.
Nah I didn't watch the episode. I suppose I will later on

The L Word...Two and a Half Men had an episode with a trans man. It wasn't exactly that you laugh at the trans person in the episode but rather at the reaction to others finding out.
Charlie Sheen's character dated a woman named Jill and was waiting at the bar for her. He talks to a guy about Jill not showing up how she's probably nervous etc. the guy he's talking to looks him right in the eye and he realizes that the man he was talking to was Jill.
An episode of Veronica Mars had a trans woman in it, although she did not have a major role. However, it was still handled in a respectful and interesting way.
Jerry Springer hates FTMs? Meh - It's mutual.
Those shows are also designed to stroke the ego of the audience by tearing down the dignity of the actors. It's a big fat audience circle jerk, where everyone feels like they've been upped a social caste or two.
Part car accident, part freak show, all spectacle.
Good formula. The flattered, "richer" feeling audience is left a little more open to buying the shiny new products featured during the numerous ad breaks ;)
It's very rare that a fully functioning, integrated, transitioned transperson is ever on TV due to being trans. We lack the spectacle. We're just as boring as our cisgendered counterparts

This is true because I personally know someone who was involved in this. Besides, Springer hates everything.
