I went (on my bike) to buy a LOTTO ticket at the gas station per usual...
On the way I hear someone say "Yo baby... What's up?" I'm in drab, blue jeans and a hoodie, Didn't think much of it
As I park my bike, I hear it again. I look and here's some white wannabe gangsta rap guy in a tank top, baggy jeans and his hat sideways leaned up to his wannabe a race car modified Honda
He starts brushing his hand atop the car and says "Check it down mama, you down?"
I'm thinkin'... Dang! what's this cat high on? Trying to be nice I say...
"That's very sweet dear, but I'm a bit too old for you"
So then he starts doing some kind of hand jive stuff and rappin' about how I'm an old B---- what's to good for him
So I pull out what I thought to be my rather male voice and tell him to shut the F--- up before I kick his candy A--
Suddenly he says "It's cool mama, it's cool, be cool ya'll" and jumps in his car and takes off
I'm thinking... Well I told him... Then I hear someone say "Yeah, run your a-- off" and I turn around and there's a rather stalky black man who asks me... "You okay baby girl?"
I said "yeah, I'm okay" and he goes and gets in his car and his girlfriend smiles and waves at me. I look around and a couple of other guys are walking back to their cars
Have any of you been in a situation were you got back up you didn't expect or in my case didn't even know about till you turned around?
No I haven't - but what a lovely thing to have happen. :)
Reading the end of that story has made me feel all warm and fuzzy.
There are more suportive people out there than we sometimes realise, and the loudmouthed arseholes are actually in the minority.
Most of the time my life is rather boring and annoying... But these last few weeks have been really bonkers
Sometimes heartbreaking, sometimes scary, sometimes just plain weird but amusing
I wonder if it's the odd weather of late
Hahaha, and I thought that only happened in movies and TV.
That was hilarious and heartwarming :) I actually lol'd. I hope these things stop happening to you though!

Thank you for your replies everyone :icon_chick:
So today I go to get my LOTTO ticket and one of the clerks does the...
"How you doing ma'am, sir? ma'am?" thing and ends with "Your sir-ness?" I admit, sir-ness was a new one... LOL
I don't react to it much but just glance back at the guy a moment then ask if I can run my ticket? (Surprise... I didn't win last Sat.'s draw)
Looking embarrassed, the clerk goes to fiddle about the DVD rentals area and the other clerk helps me
After getting my new LOTTO ticket I go to look at some of the DVDs and can hear them talking...
Clerk one - "Dude, can you believe how big that woman is?"
Clerk Two - "Oh, there's girls that tall all over the place up on campus... I don't really trip on it anymore."
Then they kept staring at me with that goofy look guys get so I went home
Anyway I thought it was funny
It is nice to hear that you are having a better time of it. And next time you get a lotto ticket mayyou win the big one. ;D
I love the story, it is sweet.

and share it with your favorite KAT type person.
Sounds like you are having a bit of sport with those clerks.
Even when I read that utterly horrifying post where you were attacked, I thought, If anyone can bounce back it's Virginia.
Yep, right back in there.
The new avitar is really good as well.
Your personal friends are really lucky. :D
It's nice to know there are still people that care in the world.
