Title: Passing with certain groups of ppl.
Post by: notyouraverageguy on June 07, 2010, 04:42:35 AM
Apparently, I pass very well as a boy in the high school area. Esp if I don't speak.

But im still having some 20-30% troubles of being clocked in other areas.
:/

Ugh, I thought I was doing well. I think its mostly my height/voice that do it.

I think you pass very well, you look about 16 or 17 in your picture, until T, none of us will pass with our voice :(  :'(

At the moment, I pass with my voice 99% of the time. However, that's because I look like a boy post puberty -_-

Hopefully my voice doesn't change much from here until I begin T

Not true, I passed with voice before T. I will agree it is true for the majority however.

My voice passed before T, and not just if I spoke as little as possible, I had full conversations and was very talkative and argumentative in my college courses. But for the most part you are right, a lot of guys voices give them away.

I pass quite fine with my voice...but maybe thats cause im talented at voice impersonations  ;D It helps to be skilled in the drama department.
ccc: I think you look really good... wid that face i don't think height would be prob unless your under 5,1 or something.

My voice passed pre-T and I thought it was very obviously male...but since I started T and my voice is changing, I'm passing even more when i speak. But the majority of us don't pass voice-wise pre-T.

I don't always pass at the gay bar. Other than that, I'm good.

Anywhere there is a high volume of lesbians I can't pass to save my life. In more "straight" areas I pass more often than not, even without binding sometimes.

I've been thinking about working on my voice as I know it gives me away but then again I'm not that much of a talker anyway.

Thanks Damian :)
That's the age I've been getting from most bio guys lately from my pics.
Well my voice only passes when I try rly hard, when im sick, or when I just wake up/am very tired.
So I mostly don't talk, if I do I only pass as 10 or so.
:/

I know a guy who completely passes, he's pre-t, his voice is amazing &he's tall.

Im very short, about 5' sigh, so yeah. &I don't plan on taking T.

I'm almost 5'3" and I have met bio guys who are much shorter than me. Your height will only affect you passing if you think it will. Being a guy means walking out there every day and projecting that you are tough ->-bleeped-<- no matter how short you are.

In the country I pass for a "young gentleman".  I can get into car shows for free if I pretend I'm a 14 year old boy.  In shops in the city I get maamed as soon as I open my mouth bla. I think it's cos there are more andro females around.

As for gay bars, if I go with another twinky looking guy I pass easily and get danced with and flirted with.  I think if I went with a butch dyke I would not pass tho.

Yeah I'm 5'1" and I used to think I was too short to transition! Now I spot short guys everywhere, some shorter than me even.

Im hoping I look asian/latin enough to blame it on that.

Thanks man, ill try to be more confident. But you know most girls like guys that are taller than them.

I pass as a kid a lot too, esp to my parents convenience &can get things for cheaper or free.

I went to a tire shop today &passed, but I didn't speak.

My voice passed over the phone once when I had been talking to somebody that I knew online.

Its all about confidence. And there are plenty of girls out there shorter than you. My little sister is 4'10 and pretty much done growing. My girlfriend is shorter than me and can wear 4 inch heels and is about the same height as I am in dress shoes. And any girl who will actually like you for you won't care if you are shorter or taller than her.
