Title: Eflora Cream?
Post by: sarahm on June 10, 2010, 11:51:56 PM
Hey,

Has anyone used any Eflora Cream?

It is apparently meant to reduce hair re-growth rate. So I'm keen on finding out if anyone has used it before and if it worked?

I seem to remember trying all sorts of stuff over the years before finally deciding that its got to be razor until the laser and electrolysis clear all the hair.
The hair follicles are in deep and each follicle has three buds and seeds so unless the Eflora has something that can kill them all I'd be inclined to think it will be a waste of time.
What are the ingredients aparts from oils, aqua, colourings, fragrances?

I have been trying generic Eflora from Ranbaxy for over 4 months now.  I read an analysis on the web comparing the cost of electrolysis with the result Eflora was quite a bit cheaper.  My conclusion is that it does not stop all hair growth but it helps.  I continue to use it.  However, I've been on hrt for 9 months and cannot separate the effect of estrogen alone.  Laser and electrolysis are the only way to permanently and completely stop hair growth.   Eflora may be a reasonably effective stop-gap measure.

I ussed it for a short trial run. (2 months)
Yes it works. However it will take 6-8 weeks for any results and it is differant on a case by case bassis.
I quit because I just have way too much hair I wish to treat and the cost was going to become prohibitive.
The neat thing about the stuff is it is the only drug I know of that has no known interaction with any other medication. Do you know how imposibly unlikely that is? Neat eh?
