Title: Told my friend
Post by: Farm Boy on June 11, 2010, 11:24:04 AM
It went great! ;D  It went something like this:

Me: "Hey, you know how I've been looking into counseling?  Well, the place I was supposed to go was called, er... The Rainbow Center..."
Her: "What for?  Gay, transgender?"
Me: "Pretty much..."
Her: "What?  Which one?!"
Me: "What do you think?"
Her: "Transgender."
Me: "You're a good guesser."
Her: "I knew it!!"

You guys were right after all, she was expecting it!  She was totally cool with it, and said that I'd always seemed that way to her.  And then she proceeded to tell me that a mutual friend had recently mentioned (during a discussion about GLBTQ stuff) that she thought I had gender issues.  I didn't even know her that well, so apparently it's more obvious than I thought.  lol

Anyway, I'm just really excited and wanted to share that. ;D

Thanks!  It's nice being able to have someone in real life to talk to about it. :)

It's nice isn't it? when they answer "I've suspected this for X years" "I knew it!" or "I know."

Makes it feel like the act of you begin a guy or a girl isn't convincing anyone and makes you feel more assured in yourself. Also When they react like that they tend to take it better because if they had a problem they would have run a mile when they suspected.

The majority of my response have been like this. I'm thankful.
