My friends friend was talking to me on messenger he's only 16 and has had bottom and top surgery. He's basically telling me I'm not a guy until I get those surgeries. I don't want bottom surgery that doesn't mean I'm less than him. He really pissed me off. Not everyone is like him not everything is so simple for everyone.
first off not everyone can afford both.. and secondly bottom surgery sucks right now
and thirdly some people who were born men have penis' that are the size of a transguys T grown penis, and some guys lose their penis' in bad accidents.. they are still men.
You're a man without any surgery. Physical attributes do not make the man.
This guy needs to get a grip. Ask him if he considered himself male before his surgeries.
He sounds like a bit of a jerk to me, mate!! Ignore his narrow-mindedness and concentrate on the positive influences you have around you.
This strikes me as a form of trans elitism. There are FTMs who will never have surgeries for a variety of reasons but that doesn't make them any less of the men they are. The actions they do are what determines whether they are men or not, not the sum of the parts they have or don't have.

Which bottom surgery has he had? Metoid? Hysto? Phallo? Because generally they won't perform those on 16yr olds.
That's a good point, he could just be blagging.
I'm concerned that this 16-year-old guy has had top and bottom surgery. WTH? He's not done growing. Isn't that too soon? He needs to be less concerned about you and more concerned about possibly jumping the gun.
::)
Wth?
unless he had a diease and had to have his 'insides' taken out..i doubt he really had this bottom surgery.. ::)
I don't know it sounded like he was serious I saw his picture and he looks like hes friggin 19 it's weird.
Sounds like typical 16 year-old logic. He's at the age where kids gain an awareness of themselves and begin to define themselves and the world around them. That stage overlaps with the still egocentric world view where you imagine that you are more special than anyone else and still have an imagination that tries to back the claim. I'm sure most people have said and done things that are equally as tactless and stupid at that age.
Your friend sounds like he enjoys being both creative with, and full of steer dung.
At 16 it'd be hard enough to get HRT from a reputable source, let alone surgery. I really doubt any surgeon would do bottom surgery on someone so young.
And I also doubt any 16 year old would be able to afford top surgery - let alone bottom surgery.
I smell moo poo.
I think you're dealing with a kid armed with photos of someone else, a healthy imagination, and absolutely no self confidence (or, he's looking to mess with you).
Seriously, don't worry about it. The kid's just being a dick. Identity comes from within.
The current state of bottom surgeries is totally unacceptable to many men (myself included, and I am very much "a guy"). It does not make you less of a man - it just makes you a picky man with high standards
Well my friend's parents helped him pay for it I guess that's what he told me.
In my opinion, he sound very insecure with his own masculinity. If he has to judge how much of a man he is by what package he has, thats pretty sad. Plus like Elijah said, the bottom surgery options right now are not that awesome... So in 5 years if you were to choose to get bottom surgery, you'd probably have a much more impressive penis. Just sayin.

I have this strange feeling that he's either a liar, a spoiled brat, or both. Tactless... you bet. Time to block him, after you tell him he's a bit of a douche bag. Yes, I am way below taking the high road. Trans or not, FTM or not. A prick is a prick and deserves to be treated as such.
He's not even really my friend he was just talking to me on his thingy. And I don't even want bottom surgery.
I agree that he sounds very insecure with his masculinity.
Honestly, I don't understand this logic. If he believes he isn't a guy unless he as bottom surgery, then what did that make him before? Are his feelings about being in the wrong body invalid before he got his bottom surgery? If he believes he isn't a guy unless he has the surgery then I'd question his motives for transitioning.
Being able to afford the surgery or no, I have doubts that a doctor who would perform bottom or top surgery on a kid below the age of 18 even exists.
If I were you I'd just tell him he's full of crap and block him. No need for somebody like that in your life.

They can do top surgery if you have consent from your parents. It's been done before.
Bottom surgery, I'm not sure of. I do know of an MTF who got SRS at 14 I think it was.
Also - If it did happen, the media would be all over it. We know they can't let a trans kid transition in peace - especially if it involves early surgery.
I'm still calling moo poo.
This kid is both highly inaccurate and more than likely exaggerating. No way he's had bottom surgery at that age... Teknoir is right. 'Moo poo' basically sums it up well.

Yep. Also, welcome other Mark!
I bet they're photos of someone else. You sort of have to get over that kind of attitude when you transition. If he thought he wasn't a man without surgery, why did he start transition in the first place? He must have thought of himself as male before.

This.
I'm not even sure they perform top surgery on 16 year olds, even with parental consent. Hormones, yes. Surgery? Don't think so.

Bottom surgery doesn't define the man. Some of the most masculine guys I know are transguys without lower surgery. Doesn't make them any less men.
I'm getting surgery in a few weeks, not to go around claiming I'm more male than those without, but because *I* need a dick for ME. And I'm fortunate enough to have the $$ for it, and I'm still healthy enough at my *ehem* advanced age. For me, it's now or never.
