Yes, although the title is very silly I'm in a bit of a panic and would like to seek some help from whoever can assist me. Crafty ideas are awesome, cheap ideas also great.
I'm living at home with my parents and two brothers. My family has been pretty good with privacy and of my family I'm the only one that's been in my bedroom since maybe 2003. My birthday is tomorrow (the 18th, I'll be 23!) and on Sunday everybody will be coming over.
My bedroom has always been a mess and lately I've been pressured to clean it by my older siblings and parents. An electrician needs access to the attic via my bedroom to fix the wiring in my house so the power doesn't go out as much. My siblings have threatened to go into my room if it isn't cleaned by Sunday.
One of the big issues I have is that I have a lot of...equipment (packers, binders, "hard" dicks, harnesses) which of course I don't want them to see. I also have no dressers or drawers besides some small clear plastic ones. I do not have a closet but I do have some shelves and a rod to hang clothes on. Saying that I lack storage space would be an understatement.
So...I'm trying to think of good ways to hide my "junk" which would make it look unimportant. I was thinking of getting a trunk or storage container and place my junk towards the bottom with all of my underwear, sweaters and overall clothing that should be folded on top. Any ideas?
maybe you could put them in a shoebox in your closet.. or in worst case scenario stuff them inside your pillowcase and flip the pillow over, or.. under your mattress
There's more than a shoebox worth and I don't have a closet...my mattress is on the floor and could misshapen my dicks.
wrap them in some t-shirts and throw them in the middle of one of your clothes bin. Lol I just did this today because relatives are staying in my room for the weekend.
You have an old gym bag? Put some stanky socks on top and undies and BAM...nobody's going in there!
put your soft dicks inside your socks and roll the socks up, and put the hard dicks under the mattress, it wont mess them up if they are hard, and you can wash them off later
I just did all of the laundry yesterday! >.<
The hard dicks are still somewhat squishy so they can get easily damaged from too much pressure (I've had rips and tears).
Don't matter if they're washed or not..people will auto-assume they are stanky and dirty and won't go near them..
Don't own a gym bag, either. I have a bag for luggage but it's my mother's. She'd probably see it and be all "hey, I was looking for that."
why do you need to hide them now? i mean this person isnt going to be going into your room searching right?
arent they kinda put away now anyway?
I trust my parents wont search my room, and if they did then its their fault if they freak when they see something lol
Get yourself a regular cardboard box. Put stuff in it and your 'junk'. On top of that put something like cards, letters, notebooks and folders. Close the box and then put folded sweaters or something on top of it. Meanwhile, clean your room a tad.
They will be doing a basic search. Right now they are not hidden. I've got about...6 perched on a shelf. Soft ones are in ziplock bags with corn starch on a desk.
I agree with the "roll up in a tshirt and stuff into a clothes bin" and "put into a box, put otherstuff on top" ideas. As long as they're out of sight, is anyone actually going to be digging through your clothes to find anything??
It's possible that they'll dig through my stuff. I don't really know what to expect.
This is the reason why I don't have a packy or any of that stuff. I've got 0 privacy and my parents don't seem to trust me enough to let me have it.
The under the bed thing might work, normally people don't go searching around there unless they're cleaning or just being incredibly nosy.
what if you kept at least the soft packer ON you? wear some cargos or something?
or you could wear it? like actually wear it?
I could wear it but I'd look like I had a major boner...it's not really intended for packing. A few aren't for packing at all.
Do you have a friend you could leave it all with for the time being? I mean, one who wouldn't think it was awkward or weird? Or is there an attic or basement in the house where you could keep something that wouldnt be noticed?
You could get a giant padlock or something ;D but then again that might be suspicious hmm. The binders would probably be the easiest, most people wont guess what they are. 8)
Do you reckon people would go under your bed? Cause you could ducktape the packers to the underneath of your bed? :P Then maybe shove another mattress under your bed.
Or Im pretty sure that most houses have those man hole things in the roof, you could get a chair, open it up, put everything just inside it so you can still reach it to take it out again, and leave it there :D

He already said he don't have a bed. People are planning to work above his room which is the reason for this thread, hard to hide things where they will be working and expect them to not be found.
oooooh! I seee woah haha

Oh, yeah... You're right. Didn't see the comment about the mattress being on the floor either.

Summarizing my original post in one sentence. DAMN YOU!
takes practice?
Have you got a trusted friend you could leave a bag with? I know kids in America drive a lot younger than here, if you have a car you could leave it in there. How about a locked suitcase in the garden shed under a heap of junk?
You could get a cheap filing cabinet, maybe a used one off of craigslist, and lock the drawer. It would give you extra storage, and double as a night stand as well. ;) (Though, I suppose it would be a bit tall for a nightstand if your mattress is on the floor.) Maybe you should look or a cheap bed frame while you're at it. :D
I keep my junk (both personal and mundane) in photo boxes on my bookshelves. I've got dozens of the things, and it helps keep me organized.
I throw my packer, medicine spoons, eye droppers, tubing, and other stp related materials in a drawstring backpack, but you said you don't have one o.o
Ask a friend to hold your stuff? Put it in a pillowcase/garbage bag and put it in the attic or basement or even your garage, hell maybe even bury it if push comes to shove(layer it in bags and stuff though)! Do what you gotta do.
If I were you I'd use the clear storage bins for clothes and fold packers into things like pants and underwear and stuff. No one should have any need to go through that and it being a clear bin they shouldn't want to snoop as they can supposedly see what's inside.
I feel for you - my parents are nosy, too, and nothing is safe when they're around. >:( My mom's even managed to find my stash of personal writings i used to stash under my bed.
If you've got the money, i would just spring for some sort of lock box or a locking trunk. I have a huge one in my closet (where i store my.. "inappropriate" reading materials like books with male/male relationships) and a smaller one i keep by my bed that has my packer and such. My binder, well, my mom things it's a big bra and ignores it (thank god.)
Or just put a nice big lock on your bedroom door. But a trunk with a lock would keep people out, yeah?

This is my thought too.
Just use the clear bins.. place your objects in between folded clothes and they'll "disappear" into the "there's clothes in this bin".
Whenever you really need to hide something, the safest place tends to be "in plain sight".
The more you freak out and try to bury it, the more attention you unintentionally draw to it.
And don't worry!
Just put it in the bin, decide it's safe, and tidy up.
If you have thick or padded jackets, hide your junk in the sleeves.then hang them on the rack with that sleeve facing the wall. Inside pockets are also good.
If your mattress is inner spring, unpick a small piece of it along the seam and hide some things in there too. perhaps the end facing a wall.
or if your mattress is against a wall you can put it between the two.
