Title: Shaving Peach Fuzz
Post by: Crypt77 on June 23, 2010, 05:23:07 PM
So even though I am not on T yet I have been shaving my face lately...ok not exactly. I have been shaving off the peace fuzz and the baby hair that's still there. What I have noticed is that the more I shave it, the thicker it grows out and gives off the illusion of having facial hair. I thought it was pretty cool, and my girlfriend says it makes me look more masculine (Since being Asian, I naturally almost have no body hair/facial hair).

I also did more research that apparently females are the only ones who continue to have peach fuzz/baby hair when they go through purity. Guys loose their peach fuzz/baby hair when they go through purity (probably because they're growing normal hair through their natural T). I guess it also gives off that illusion if you shave it off.

It doesn't actually come in thicker, it only seems that way. When it grows out some more it'll dull out and look the same as it was before you cut it. It hasn't really changed aside from cutting it.

Bio-guys lose their peach fuzz because they tend to shave their face even if they don't have a full beard going on.

Oh is that how it is? Thanks for clearing that up. Haha! I guess I have been wasting my time then...nah not really. Makes me feel more like a man, Yeah!

Hey, shave all you want. Getting rid of the fuzz can help with passing and it's always been therapeutic for me.

I haven't shaved much since on T, though. The fuzz is coming in more, but I don't have that many hairs and fuzz takes longer to grow in. Interesting thing I've noted... when it's an actual hair and not just fuzz, it grows a lot faster.

Ah, I love shaving. Always wanted to since my dad would give me a shaving foam beard when I was a kid. We'll see if I like it when I have to do it every day, but for now, awesome.  I'm mostly fuzz but have quite a few actual hairs, they do grow back way faster. I always make sure to exfoliate because I have sensitive skin and I'm prone to ingrown hairs.

Now that's pretty awesome! Haha I hope I get there one day (though being Asian means I'm prone to not be able to grow hair of any kind)

You never know. East-Asians have trouble growing full beards, but that doesn't mean you're exempt from a mustache or a goatee exactly.

I shaved off the fuzz for about a year and a half before I was able to grow a (halfway) decent beard.  The fuzz is expected on female faces but not male faces, so I agree it helps with passing in those early stages.

So tonight i was bored and decided to shave my peach fuzz, and then i started wondering if it really would make it grow back thicker, and then i came across this forum..but i thought that was funny.

Haha the coincidences are great. Then again we're all in the same boat.

And yeah, I hope for a goatee in the future!

Even though I'm pre-T, I've been shaving for a few weeks now.  Like Lachlann said, it's therapeutic.
