Hey guys,
I will be travelling overseas next week and have heard that some ppl take a letter from their doc in case they have any issues as my passport still says female. Is this necessary as i'm having issues with my doc and he said that he will charge me a ridiculous price just to write a short letter even though he hasn't charged me for short letters in the past. If he's going to do this i much rather risk having to explain it myself to immigration instead of being f**ked over by my doc.

You can get such a letter from a therapist as well as your doc.

The only problem is that my doc is my therapist. He's the only one I have...
Do you have any other types of documents or IDs that mention GID, a legal name change, anything transition-related--or that have an M on them? What letters do you already have from your doc?
I don't have any other documents or letters that have M on it and my old letters are under my old name.
What would happen if I don't bring a letter with me? I could still get through if they question me right? Whats the worst that could happen?

If you have gone through a name change, then bring a copy of whatever paperwork you have on it. That establishes a link between your old life and your new life. It would be even better if you had an expired ID card or driver's license or student ID with an old picture of you.
If you have a name-change document, your old letters will have more weight. Bring them along, too, if they mention GID or transsexuality.
You might go through without a hitch, but you're right to want to be prepared. Good luck.
