Title: Change in clothing sizes on T?
Post by: zombiesarepeaceful on June 28, 2010, 03:51:49 PM
I'm observing some more changes on T. They're related to clothing sizes....

Pre-T:
Shirt: L to XL in boys, S to M in mens
Pants: 18 to 20 in boys, 30 x 30 to 32 x 30 in mens
Shoes: size 10 to 11 in mens

Now: Shirt M to L in mens
Pants: 32 x 30 to 36 x 30 in mens
Shoes: same

I haven't gained any weight at all on T, aside from any muscle gain. I think it's all due to the redistributing fat pattern. And the fact that my shoulders have squared out a ton. The shirts I have from before in a men's small or boy's 18 are really tight on my shoulders now. But at least I don't feel like I dwarf my clothes now, and I can wear larger shirts without them looking like they swallow me. Anybody else go up/down sizes on T? Share.

God I hope I get a little bigger on T, at least in the shoulders.  I wear an XS men's right now and that size is only carried in like 3 stores.  Smalls make me look like a gangsta and boy's clothes are too short on me.

Yup.  Used to be able to wear XL boys shirts and S mens shirts.  I still can, sorta, but the shoulders are tight and it just looks goofy.  Mens M is usually good, sometimes L depending on how the shirt is made.

Pre-T, I wore 32x30 mens jeans.  They were too loose in the waist and gapped in the back (30x30 would've fit my waist better), but anything smaller would've been too tight in the hips.  I still wear my 32x30 jeans, but they've gotten baggy in the hips, and now fit my waist.

Shoes, I think I went up about a size--8 to 9 mens.

I gained around 15-20 lbs on T.

I haven't checked my height or shoe size (I like to wear my shoes a little loose to begin with) but I have noticed shirt and pants sizes changing.

When I was in my teens, I wore a mens small or EXTRA small. Nowdays I wear a medium; I pulled out a bag of old clothes from a couple years back to sift through them for a drag show, and sure enough, most all of the shirts in there were tight and of all places- in the arms and armpit area!

My waist size for pants has actually gone down. When I first started T I wore a 36, if I wanted snug a 34(I had to be able to pull them up over my enormous ass). Well, a week ago I tried to put on a new pair of 34s and they fell down my butt; slightly annoying, since I bought several pairs of 34s before starting T, and now I have to cinch my belt tight just to keep them on(but hey, rather have my pants look sloppy 9,000 times over than trade the fat redistribution ;). That whole area, butt and thighs, is shrinking; they don't pillow out and fill/hold up pants anymore. I like not having this tumorous jiggly backside(it keeps diminishing...) but I do hope I don't end up with a severe case of Asian No Ass Syndrome.

So now I've been wearing 32s, puzzling over what size I'll end up wearing in another several months.

Im 5'8 and weighed about 120 pre t now I weigh about 140, but my body fat % has dropped, so my weight increase has been muscle. My shoulders have got a lot broader and my tighs and butt have got smaller (they weren't very big pre-t though). My head has got bigger too.

Shoe size pre-t 8-8.5: Now about a 9-9.5
shirts pre-t mans small: Now man medium (because a small is to tight in the shoulders)
Pants/shorts pre t 30-31 Now: same
Hats Pre-t 6 7/8-7: Now 7-7 1/8
