I got my orci letter yesterday. I broke out crying and could not stop for 10 minutes; partly HRT and partly relief that my T will finally be gone. I will have SRS but I needed to speed the transition progress and get off spiro. It has been a long battle for me but living full time and filling my body with estrogen (shots) has finally allowed me to be at peace. Dr. Bowers will give me a letter stating that I have had irreversible genital surgery so document changes will be much easier. Social Security will accept this so my DL and SS will reflect my female gender. My birth state will acually change my birth certificate with this letter!!. As my therapist said, two down and one to go.

YAY girl congratz!!!! I can imagine what that feels like. =) I've already had dreams about it being my surgery date and the feeling I felt was almost unbelievable! =)

Question:
How does one find a doctor who will preform this procedure?
i assume the usual SRS doctors will, but beyond those - particularly one in the southern states....is there a list somewhere?
