In just two days, Los Angeles welcomes its next summer film festival – the 2010 addition of Outfest. The city's oldest festival (and the nation's leading LGBT fest) will go on for ten days, and will include all manner of features, shorts, and docs to keep those still recovering from the LA Film Festival in high spirits. To get all you Angelenos revved up for this important festival, I'm cracking into some serious pre-coverage.

Our first film to chat about is FOREVER'S GONNA START TONIGHT, Michelle Lawler's new documentary that covers the colorful life story of San Francisco's own Vicki Marlane, the "world's oldest professional transgender entertainer." Still working at age 75, Vicki has been doing drag for 59 years, and has the stories to prove it. The film includes new and old film of her performances, photos from the past, and a ton of interviews with Vicki herself (and her inner circle). Check out the full trailer after the break!
