So I'm telling the SO today how I'm really happy that I now amply fill out a bra which used to be too big for me. Also, I figured out that when it feels too big the problem can be resolved by pulling the bra out rather than pushing things up.
The spouse looks at me like I'm kind of thick and says that means I need to hook the bra on one of the tighter sets of hooks. I tell her it's already on the tightest set. She sighs and tells me that means I need to drop a band size. And then I felt pretty dim, because it seemed so obvious.
However this also means I have dropped from 44 to 38 (the bra today was a 40) as the band size on my bra since starting hormones about a year ago. Which maybe accounts for the people asking me if I've lost weight all the times I've been grumbling at myself because I'm plateauing. And that's... kind of cool.
Let the bra shopping commence at a more practical size!

the estrogen made the pecs and the lats and the teres all shrink so you will be losing that V shape...and the cartiliage between the bones will be shrinking too so the bones close up a bit...are you putting weight on your hips and buttocks?

diet and exercise have a lot to do with it to, started off i could barely squeeze into a 36 now i can squeeze into a 34 but still comfortably, however i prefer a 36 on the last tab as its a lot more comfort, now just need to fill out the cups from A to B, getting there... slowly i am about 1 yr and 7 months hormones.
What i did notice is my ring size changed, mainly to weight loss probably i was like a 9 now i am a 7 and my foot got smaller ^_^, mens 10.5 now womens 9.5... interesting stuff. However i was 205lbs when i started transitioning and now i am 155.
The before and after pictures are pretty shocking ^_^
Yay! Congratz! hehe

The shape is definitely changing. Yes, I am putting on some weight on my hips and buttocks. Still not nearly what I'd like proportionally for my body, but things are at least shifting in the right direction there.
Also... bra shopping has confirmed: I am now a solid (and amazingly comfortable!) 38B! So much easier to buy that size off the rack! Woo hoo!
almost seven years on hormones made a lot of difference to me but I think that as we have a basically male skeleton there is no way it is going to shrink or alter to look totally female - Asian and very young transitioners will not have that male shape - lucky people!
