I may be getting new glasses soon, and since nearly everyone in my family wears glasses I borrowed some to get some comparison pictures. Nobody here has pointed mine out as being feminine, but I wondered if maybe a different frame would help me pass better. The only comments I've gotten in person are that mine make me look like Harry Potter, and I have no problem with looking like the boy wizard. :P
So here are mine first, and then some different ones. Thoughts?

The shape of the ones on the bottom left is really flattering, although they're too big for your face. The top left make you look boyish but in a Harry Potter sort of way - I'm assuming those are yours? They fit you best too. Top right just doesn't suit you (neither masculinizing nor feminizing, just sort of awkward) and bottom right is feminizing.
Strange, I see it completely differently than yo Kyril. The rounds ones seem to fem the face and the square ones opposite. The black geek glasses seem to be the least fem to me.
Bottom left looks best to me, although I agree they are too big for your face.
Thanks for the input! Yeah, the top left ones are mine. And yeah, I have a rather small head, so most glasses are too big for my face.
I am torn between the bottom two on which is more masculine. they both are a bit big for your face though.
The to glasses in the left hand column are the least fem, I think... but none of them are really great. I think it's the frame size that's throwing it off. If you don't mind getting kids' glasses, how 'bout trying on some boys' (not mens') frames? I think your face alone definitely passes for a young boy, and glasses that fit would help. I've seen frames for older kids that are styled like an adult's, just a bit smaller.
dont go with the black ones... i think they look most fem on your face
dont go for gold frames (your old glasses look a little granny style :icon_bunch:). i honestly dont see much of a difference - all of the glasses look sort of awkward but you look like a boy to me in each of the pictures. i think as long as you don't go for a pair of these :

, you'll be fine.
I think the shape of the bottom right frames look best on your face.

Actually, I already have to go to the kids' section for clothes, so that's not a problem. I guess I'll just have a look around and see what they've got. I don't dislike my current frames, but they
are a little bent from getting hit in the face with a basketball... I'll just have to see if I can find any awesome ones. :)
A basketball? Ouch. o.e If you do things that are likely to get you hit in the face frequently, that actually increases the cost-effectiveness of kids' frames; they're built to be sturdier and the place I buy my glasses from has a one-year insurance policy that's a lot cheaper if you're buying kids' glasses.
I like the ones on the bottom left best, though it might just be your expression in that picture that makes it work better... if they have those frames in a smaller size, and not in gold or silver (brown/black is more masculine, and also bright frames in sunlight is extremely distracting), then go for it.

the bottom right ones are the most masculine. They probably are reading glsse so they make your eyes look bigger and thus femenine Whsat are your glasses for?
Yeah, all of them are reading glasses so they make my eyes look bigger. Except mine; they're for wearing all the time. I'm nearsighted.

Hehe, gym class was not kind to me. I'm not as likely to get hit in the face now, but that's still a good idea. I also prefer the look of black to gold or silver (not the thick plastic kind), but my mom talked me out of getting black frames last time. I'll keep that in mind if/when I get new ones. Thanks!
I agree that the top left one looks best on you and I don't see them as feminizing. They're sort of like my glasses- except without the Harry Potter look.
