I started a new school today, I was really nervous! :-X I went to the front office...administration or something, and got sorted through my time table. This nice guy with a broken arm then came down looking for me. He even used my preferred male name which is awesome, meaning the teacher had got it recorded down right! ;D He just talked about some random stuff and took me to class :)
Everyone was so nice :P And helped me all day! They even called me "he" without thinking otherwise ;D One teacher asked for my name so he could right it down on his marking roll. I gave him my preferred male name. He then took me over to some of the other kids and was like "This young boy is going to introduce himself....just kidding, you can sit down with them over there" :P It was awesome! One of the girls in my class already knew me from a different school as a girl. I told her about the whole situation about a week before starting school tho, so it was all cool and sorted 8) She was very accepting and tried really hard to put in the extra effort nobody else had to make when using correct pronouns ;)
At lunch we were talking and she said around her friends "no she doesnt know who that person is" referring to me. She quickly corrected herself tho, but it wasnt dramatic or anything :P One girl was like "did you just call him a she"...and my friend just blamed it all on the plane she just took back into Australia yesterday ;D But she is a super awesome, extremely positive person, and says things really well, so no one thought otherwise! 8) I got called "he" all day long!
I didnt realise my timetable had the letter F just after my name in front of a bunch of numbers tho. Around 7 people asked to have a look at my time table, just cause they wanted to know if I was in any of their classes. Fortunately no one looked hard enough to see the F :P I have fixed that up...the magic of scanning and photo-shop! ;)
I think this is impossible, but school has just become 50 billion times better! ;D

That gives me a lot of hope, cuz im starting a new school in September. Did you tell the office and all of your teachers? Or what? I don't know what im going to do yet. ???

XD I am so happy for you! That's awesome! It gives me real confidence as I will be starting my first year ever of university in September and I had two times more reasons to stress...but now, not so much. ^^

alexander18: Thanks! ;D I actually didnt say anything about being trans to the office, I just gave a preferred name on the enrolment form and everything was put under that. Most people heard the name, saw the way I looked and just assumed "he" was the right thing to say :D Even the teacher who called me a boy judged from that. I have not told anyone except for whoever handled the forms that I am male or female...everyone else just seemed to work it out for themselves ;D Good luck! and Good luck Tom!!!! 8) Itll be great!

harlee: i have no idea if you're in college or high school, but im in high school. On my application for the school everything on your legal birth cetificate is required, so i had to turn in a paper with Alexandra and a big F on it :-\
i think ill just tell my teachers my preferred name on the first day.
