Title: Kinship
Post by: Just Kate on July 17, 2010, 06:40:47 AM
I was looking over the pre-transition pics from this thread:

Those are always a lot of fun.  I still wish I could find some more of me back then, but oh well.  That isn't the purpose of this post anyhow.

As I was going through the thread I found myself looking very hard at the "before" pictures, and I could feel my heart swell within me.  Since this particular thread was all MTF I might refer to the "before" pictures as the "guys".

I looked at the "guys" in those pictures and felt an extremely powerful feeling of love and kinship.  Kind of like, if I knew that person, I'd want to hug them, tell them I get what they are going through, and we could cry together.  I really felt, as I looked at them, like I could almost grab a glimpse of their real souls, not the male facade they might have been showing in picture, a soul not so different than my own.

I really can't explain it, the strong, almost spiritual, feeling of kinship, but it has been so strong it has brought me close to tears, and I just thought I'd share and ask if anyone else has felt something similar.
