Title: Links please?
Post by: madzam on July 17, 2010, 05:32:53 PM
Hey guys, I was wondering if you could give me some links regarding to how parents can help their transgender children. I am sending my mom an email with such links because she told me she "doesn't know how to help me"

This one I am definitely including:

Thanks you in advance, I appreciate it.

Try www.gires.org.uk (http://www.gires.org.uk)

There's all sorts on there for parents/kids/teens/us!

http://www.imatyfa.org/ (http://www.imatyfa.org/)

it stands for "I am a trans youth family allie"

It was recommended when I was asking for something for my mom. My mom came back and told me it was aimed at parents of people younger than what I am. I'm 20, so probably high school aged.

This is good stuff.  I have to start writing a letter to my parents soon.
