Title: Nice Dreams
Post by: RebeccaFog on November 27, 2006, 07:56:01 PM
Hi everyone,

My own dreams tend to be intense. I'm used to it, but I can't get rest from sleeping.

I was wondering what other people dream like. Good? bad? forgotten?

The "I'm having one now" option serves 2 purposes. 1st, it's meant to be funny as if you're in a deep sleep while you are on your computer.  2nd, "I'm having one now" can also be used to indicate that your dreaming is so powerful, that there may not be any difference in how your unconscious mind battles your senses because all of the material and emotion that goes with an intense dream is there even when you are awake and about your daily business. And so, the waking mind is only different from the sleeping mind because you are up and about your business.

Really, though, Good? bad? forgotten? good & bad in cycles?

Well, I don't recall the majority of them (although that has been changing recently), but the ones I do have are not bad, I'm just trying to accomplish something within them.

I guess if I had a little girl to show me the way, my dreams would calm down.

That's a very pretty little daughter you have there. Congratulations for having the best best friend anyone could ever have.

Some of my earliest memories are of nightmares, and they were literaly worse than a "bad trip".
for the last 10 or so years i could not remember any dreams that i did have, but lately i have been dreaming (remembering?) the most weird dreams ever, during my dream i notice something small, like "thats not where i left that brush" or "that door doesnt open that way" and i realise i am dreaming and suddenly wake up and can fully recall the dream.
maybe i should have them analysed, maybe im just nuts :D

Usually I have dreams that are completely surreal. A long time ago I'd learned how to recognize a dream from being awake and over the years developed the ability to directly and conciously control my dreams. Since then I don't really limit what is capable in my dreams. I also am able to wake up and then continue dreams soon after going back to sleep as long as I don't become to lucid in the process.

Hi Us,

I am familiar with this. Sometimes, when I feel I've lost control, I can't change the dream in the way that I'd like to no matter how much I struggle.

I typically do not dream but then my sleep cycle is usually pretty short.  On nights I sleep longer I tend to have nightmares.  A few years back I was suffering from the classic night terrors, which is supposedly rare in adults.  The neurologist asked me if I had any new stress in my life to which I replied that I had just gone FT.  She did not know what I was talking about so I said that I was TS.  She was floored.  :)  Fortunately I can tell which nights the terrors will come out to play and either not sleep or take other steps to keep them at bay.

Hi LIT,

I think it's interesting that you know when you're going to have nightmares. I never heard anything like that before.

Sweet dreams

Not nightmares.  Night Terrors.  Classic night terrors do not have a form or shape.  It is just something that is about to do some serious evil to you.  On top of all of that I am awake and usually unable to move or scream or do much of anything until I finally shape my resolve enough to move, to scream, or do something.  The first time it happened I imagined it as a big, predatory cat but that is how my mind shaped it because I did not see anything.  One moment I was checking my alarm clock and then suddenly it was just there.  The entire bed shook and I could feel it coming closer, slowly coming up my body.  I did not feel any weight, just the presence.  In the air all I could see was blackness.

I can sense those nights because I have been taught to know my body and know when something is off.  Somewhere in the back of my mind I managed to pinpoint whatever it is that signals one of these episodes may be coming up and can try and nip it in the bud.

I imagine others who have been trained to do the same would be able to do the same, should they actually suffer from this.  They wanted to do a sleep study but my insurance at the time considered it experimental and would not cover it.

Other times like once in 6 mos a very awesome dream of me being a girl....
Other times bizarre ones with friends and family members, weird things?
Sometimes sex or fetish dreams which are not that bad as i recall.. lol..
Sometimes worrysome ones like my dog dying, losing a loved one etc...
Sometimes work dreams and stuff  - i know this is from work and pressures i am sure...
That's it for now

I hope you feel a little better, Ricki, that last message looked like you were having a moment.

That was funny about the plastered butt. You'd have to hire someone to make sure that it was kissed. Some people might try to leave your funereal without paying the proper respects.

I was Beck, actually with my sister Becky.. Dah!  anyway it passed but alas that stress sort of swills around like smoke some days....
Needless to say she ignores my issues and does not acknowledge them and then sort of only finds time for me when it seems she needs help or a recipe or something.. yet i do not understand cause she iss oo full of love for most other things?????
Listen funny you should have replied i had this weird dream yesterday it was about my one friend from high school a girl free spirit she's living in utah i almost moved out there with her years back.. ended up cancelling the big move and that caused a falling apart and we have not spoken since 2002  ... so sad...
anyway i had this dream i was out west with her and we were kissing and making out at this party, on a couch spooning.. anyway she is thin but pretty half indian and she has full lips for being a thin girl and tall and i remember distinctly how soft her lips were kissing her?
tell me this is weird?  Not a gender dream but it seemed sort of romantic or real....Romantic that i rememebr that we were really meaning it?  the kissing like it had physical and emotional feeling?  OH I'm scared does this mean something bad may happen to her? Ugghhhhh
Thanks for concern Becky, you are a nice person!

Hi Ricki,

I don't think the dream means that something will happen to her. It may mean that you are missing either her, or some nice intimacy. Maybe the dream is telling you that you'll be hearing from her soon. Maybe she's not mad anymore.

Thanks beck, that was a good spin!
Funny we were always like two sisters or brothers whichever way you look at it and she was in on my gender issues.. I dunno i do miss her, maybe that's why i dreamed of it?  But we were never romantic?  we were close enough friend wise where we could drink, hang out, give each other back rubs, i could shower at her place while she was on the pot... Relationships like that are hard to find and keep,,, damn shame but i am only 50% of the reason it fell apart i guess?  i cannot make her be my friend now!
I think of how much she lost in me over the years and how much i lost in her over the years, it makes me sad.....
anyway thanks
Ricki

I used to fly a lot, and easily too, when I was under 18. As adult, I couldn't fly for a long time. I can fly now, but with the help of an object. I hold on real tight and think of where I want to go and the object helps take me there. The object isn't always the same. Some times, it's a big ball or something.

Sort of a keep for keep sakes.. I travelled with the special bible too i have that as well and slept with it under me for years....
Weird i know...

I had a dreams lastnight where I was having FFS..
It was preatty nice actually, the doc was very nice, and I was accompanied by my brother.
In the clinic there was a few girls, gg and mtf, The gg where asking me why I wanted that, since I wasn't presenting as a girl.
I then said, that I wanted to strt the process with a minor FFS to ease the transition..
It was very reallistic, and my brother very understanding !
.. I woke up and I felt kind of sad knowing it was just a dream..

Otherwise,... my dreams are mostly super crazy and fantastic ! .. this was a rare one, very realistic.
