Title: Lady from the past
Post by: ToniAndrea on July 19, 2010, 12:20:24 PM
Hi! Everyone. Hey Robyn ( Waving ) My name is Toni-Andrea. Post op from Canada presently having my life turned upside down again by the Gender Recognition Panel in the UK.
I used to come on this forum quite a bit way back but since losing my partner of 23 years things just kind of slipped away and life changed and I moved to an isolated quiet location. I popped in here the other day and noticed a couple of ladies having the identical problems with this GRP in Uk as I too am enduring.  I thought all this jumping through hoops and discrimination was way way in the past for me. Now I need this Gender recognition Certificate from the GRP in order to renew my UK passport and apply for my UK pensions. It appears that GID haunts you from birth to the grave at the hands of discrimination from people who do not understand what we have to go through or they do not want to understand.
    Anyway.. Hello all.

Thank you for the welcome Janet.
This family sure has grown since I used to be a regular here.
Wouldn't a family get together be nice?

Toni-Andrea,

Hey, welcome back.  You're right:  There ARE several people here having the same hassles that you are.  Wish I could help you with them, but I know nothing about the subject ... sorry.

Good news:  Some of the folks here DO know about that particular subject.  A few REALLY know it well and can probably help you.  You may want to IM them for more details to help you out.

Glad you're here again.

:)   Lacey Lynne
