Hi, I'm Megan!
I'm not transsexual, a transvestite, or anyone under the transgender umbrella. I'm here to learn more about other people and their experiences. That's just the kind of person I am.
If my reason for joining the forum is offensive to a lot of people, then I'll leave. Just please let me know.
I look forward to getting to know you all!

Hello,
I am left wondering what your motive is. This is a good site with alot of good information and helpful people.
We do need more awareness in our society regarding trans issues so your curiosity is apreciated but I must admit to being somewhat put off by your pressence. Not trying to run you off in the least.
So what are you hoping to learn? We are a large group of chatter mouths and likely will answer just about any question you have. :)

I guess I want to get a better understanding of trans issues and how you deal with how harsh society can be. Society just...sweeps most of it under the rug so I don't have many chances to learn more except online. Additionally, I live overseas in China, which as far as I know, isn't very trans friendly.
Also, in a story I've been working on with a friend, I'm thinking about adding a MtF character, so I want to make sure that I write her correctly.

Just as I suspected.
Right on, more power to you but please after you have done a ton of research and think you have it, stop, and completely re-evaluate everything you think you know and understand about those of us who suffer from GID. Just about every cisgendered writer who attempts to write a trans character into a story fails miserably and completely misses the mark.
Personaly I do not think anyone who isn't trans can understand how we feel, much less write about it, but we do need sympathetic writers and readers.
