Well, I live in the South of England on what some call, the English Riveria. Though like so many other English epithets, its an exageration. There are a lot of small private boats. Since I get seasick in a bath, these belong to others.
The weather is warm and clamey. It rarely gets really cold here.
And I think your opening post is brilliant.

I'm in SF and the North Bay area, otherwise known as Sodom and Gomorrah by the Bay.
From the top of the dial.
The great Pacific Northwest, Oregon to be more exact.
My current residence... the bright spot on the dark side of the planet. Brown things, funny colored houses, Mountains and dirt. light pollution 10 out of 10, UV index. 11 out of 12. current weather. it looks like its trying to rain but yeah... it doesn't like to rain here.
I live where the US and Mexico meet, and where Texas doesn't care and NM can't claim us.
The sun and UV radiation make it very difficult for one to work on her pale ;)

Northern Vermont on Lake Champlain. Canada is less than an hours drive away. We have mountains, foliage, more mountains, mud season, below 0 temps, cows, tourists driving super slow to look at the foliage, cows, Crusty hippies, and Maple syrup.
Alot of it looks like this...

Hailing form the black corn hole of the US. Mishawaka, Indiana. Where there is either concrete, corn or soybeans.
When it's hot, it's hotter then hell and when it's cold, it's cold enough to freeze then nuts off a steel horse! It's a black whole with no jobs and once you get in you can never get out.
Used to be a booming R.V. industry here but now that area (Elkhart, Indiana 20 minutes east) is little more then a ghost town.
.... I want out.

Wow, thats some amazing scenery!!!!!! The lake/mountain pic is beutiful!!!!!
In a suburb on the SF Bay, about half-way between San Francisco and San Jose. Climate is temperate, warmer than SF and cooler than SJ.
I, most unfortunately, live in southern Arizona, USA.
If you ever have the urge to visit, don't. Or come in winter. Summer is HELL. (although the monsoons are awesome, when we actually get them....aheh)
One day, I WILL manage to move to England...it's my favorite place in the world. *dreamy sigh*
Come to the dark (rainy) side - we have rich tea biscuits.

Aah, Manchester, where old men howl in bus stops.

I grew up in South San Francisco, and have lived in San Bruno, Redwood City and Half Moon Bay. Currently, I'm in San Mateo.
I can't pass through SM without stopping at La Cumbre Taqueria. It's not quite as good as the one in SF, but still some fine, fine, superfine carne asada burritos. And, it's right next to CalTrain too.
carne asada burritos
Yummm!
I live in northern Rhode Island. Funny how living in the smallest state warps one's sense of distance... I complain that I have to drive 20 minutes to work.
Close enough to phillidelphia for the "local news" to be brodcast out of center city, far enough out that I'm 2 miles from corn fields and northern rednecks.
Town seems to collect the worst of both worlds for some reason..
The middle of england at the minute, the country never changes but the part of it I'm in is never static for more than a few months. I'm a ramblin' man
I live in the land of broken toys. A smallish, formally Danish island in the Caribbean with 50,000 of my closet friends of which are 98% Black or Latin. Some call it paradise. I only get off this rock every few years so I'm always in wonder when I return to the real world.
Minnesota, Land of Sky Blue Waters. Seems like there's some of everything here, but not a lot of any one thing. I believe there's a few on here that are from MN also. I used to travel a lot, lived in different places (CA to GA), so I like hearing about where everyone lives. Brings back memories, and makes me want to visit those places I haven't been to.
If US states were bunk beds, I'd be on top of Janet. :D Yep, I'm a coffee swillin', black wearin', sun hatin' Seattlite.
...and I'll never leave. No place else has felt more like home. :)
