hi, i was wondering, what causes lactation in mtf transsexuals? i kno in cisgendered females its from a horomone released when they are pregnant. has any of you experienced it?
I've lactated a little bit a few times but not enough to get excited about and to be honest I have no idea why ???
It happens to me at will and it's been that way since about month 4 or 5 of my hrt. I take progesterone so maybe that's why. My prolactin levels have always been pretty high. It isn't something where they just leak, but if I push on them, like the area on top of and around the nipple, it comes out. It's pretty gross really. I've been happy with my hrt regimen and it hasn't been something that I ever really notice so out of sight out of mind. My doctor said not to worry about it because my other levels are fine. So, I don't worry about it :) Meghan
I always have some small amount of liquid in my boobs.
It is not uncomon, it is just one of those things girls dont talk much about.
Almost every girl in my family have some amount of lactation going on. My mom can not be around an infant for longer than a couple days or she goes into complete production mode and my sister has never dried up from her last pregnancy....13 years ago!
Just to throw a curve ball into the mix...
I read a good sympathetic story re the shock man has baby couple.... he had the baby....but the mother wanted to breast feed...
So I gather if you've got a good array of milk glands/ducts and me many years into yer change...maybe its possible to do much the same...
If you were ever to adopt a wee one....
(cue N-oW's horror report) Trans women gets flack for breast-feeding on bus.... now there's an idea?
I know of two transwomen who have nursed an infant as their own birth child.
I either read or saw a video about a transgirl that actually breastfed her cousin.
interesting stuff actually. im not tryin to be pervvy or anythin. i was just wondering that. its curiosity really
