To get your hairline shaped?
Do you believe in the phrase,
If you shave it, it will grow back thicker?
I don't think it would look dumb, but it might grow back thicker and darker then before
As in getting it square off on the sides? Or as my father says "hard or soft style" LOL. Hard is getting it squared off, soft is have like a straight line down from your forehead to sideburn if I remember.
Back on topic: No you won't looks dumb, it gives a more masculine touch as long as you don't go too short. If that made sense..

That's an old wives tale. Completely false. The hair appears thicker at first because the hair is blunt on the end.
Well I think if some would shave their forehead to try to get a male hairline look, they'd keep up the maintenance on it.
I've only seen females with long hair do this, &I thought it didn't look right.
Well if this is what you think your passing would depend upon, then don't do it. As it won't make much of a difference.
It would only look dumb if you did it wrong. But really, people aren't examining your hairline. Kinda risky and sounds like a waste of time to me.
I was lucky enough to have a very high forehead. Sucked when trying to live as F, but perfect for me as M.

no you wouldn't look dumb.a lot of dudes do it including me even when i was pre-T...we call it a "line up". U should go to the barber shop rather than doing it by yourself cuz it may not come out right....
If you're talking about squaring off the sides, like is evident in the poster above me's picture, then no it wouldn't look dumb. I had it done for the first time when I got my hair cut a couple weeks ago.I asked my drag dad why they did it and he's like dude...that's what they do with guy's hair.
But if you mean shaving the hairline higher to create a higher looking forehead or something then yes, it would look incredibly retarded.

I was going to post this same thing before but forgot what it was called. Cutting the hair so the hairline is very pronounced and defined works. It's used for guys that want a straight hairline and have a widow's peak (as an example). It's an easy thing to screw up.
I mean like shaving the sides where the temples are, not the actual hairline on the forehead.

Actually, it's only half false. It depends on the body part, because there are different types of hair follicles on different parts of the body. For example, if you shave your legs, the hair will grow back thicker. However, the same is not true for the arms.
Sorry....geek moment.....
And no, I don't think it would look dumb at all.
