Title: Not Quite Human
Post by: insanitylives on August 11, 2010, 07:03:24 PM
This is probably just my general annoyance with the body bubbling up, but has anyone felt that whatever sex, being human would be uncomfortable?

I think there are people not in this situation who also feel that way, too. In other words, I think to some degree, it's very human to feel that way sometimes.

All the time.  Being in a human body sucks.  I saw someone somewhere say that the human body seemed designed to be as uncomfortable as possible.  I totally agree.  Still, I don't plan on making an exit anytime soon if I can help it.  I feel like there must be a reason I'm here, so I'll do my best to stick with the course.

Not now, but when I was trying to "give the birth sex a shot" I pretty much detached from being human all together. I wasn't delusional, but I couldn't think of myself as human. Not a "real" one, anyway.

I think it's a psychological defense mechanism for some people. Oddly enough, transitioning gave me my humanity back.

Well... mostly ;).

I know exactly what you mean. I don't feel human quite a bit of the time.
