I may have put this in the wrong thread, but I don't think I did.
Anyways, it was getting harder to bind my chest a few days ago, so I measured it to see if it had grown, but it hadn't. And then today I measured my chest, and it was an inch larger than usual. And my breathing has been strange in the past few days as well. Do you think any of these things are connected?
And, by breathing being strange, I mean it's been sort of difficult to breathe. It's been pretty easy to normally, but when I stand up after sitting down my breathing gets worse for like 30 seconds.
Sorry if none of this makes sense. or if I post it in the wrong section like I keep doing with everything else.
Maybe your lungs are swollen? Sorry I can't help much; I'm a bad helper.
How long do you bind for?
Sorry for a sister to butt in.
You may have developed a lung infection (pleurisy), not totally uncommon in guys that bind. You restrict your breathing by binding and don't clear the lung air volume as normal. I would suggest a quick trip to your family Doc, and get him/her to listen to your breathing, and to take your blood pressure. If it's mild infection it may respond quickly to antibiotics. If you leave it and it gets bad you may end up with a very nasty infection that could develop into pneumonia, or worse.
I would get checked out.
Hugs
Cindy

No problem, that was a helpful answer =] I don't think it's pleurisy though, because my friend's mom has that so I've seen what it does to people. But thanks for your answer

I usually bind for 30 minutes - 5 hours. But there were a few days when I was binding for 12 hours. That usually doesn't happen though
This may be an uncomfortable question, but are you on your period? (Or about to start your period?) I've found that my breasts get quite swollen around that time of the month. It's happening right now actually, and binding is pretty difficult. :-\

I'm not on it, and I don't think I'm about to. But I dunno cause it hasn't become regular yet so it springs up out of no where. I think the problem is that I was binding too much. Cause they've gone down half an inch after I stopped binding for a day, and the breathing problem got better
Check the Gear subforum. I gave myself plersey by binding too hard. Makes it difficult to breathe. Basically when you have it the lining of your lungs is inflamed. Only way I fixed it is by using proper binders. Aka underworks. But what your body can take is different from another person.
When I had this....I only had a few symptoms. Couldn't breathe in properly. Chest tension. My inhaler didn't relieve symptoms. I'd say you made your lungs angry at the very least.
