Late At Night, Gripped With Fear, I Drove Without Telling Anyone

I was in college.  I was transgendered.  I was terrified.

And there was no turning back.

Nobody I knew could find out.  Oh, God, I couldn't imagine if they found out!  But I desperately needed support.

But I had my own issues.  Late at night, gripped with fear, I drove the hour and a half without telling anyone to get to the nearest GLBT support group to attend one of its' monthly meetings.  But I had the date wrong.  Nobody was there.  I drove the long drive back home.  I didn't get the courage to try again for several months.
