My best friend of nine years who I met from playing in several bands together.. we became best friends and well I didn't really notice just how much of a catch he was until a few months after HRT. Now I have a stupid crush on him and see him as the perfect guy. He is the benchmark for what is perfection which sucks because every guy I've met since just pales in comparison :(
He is everything I want and look for in a guy but I doubt he could ever consider me a possibility.. even though he is super open minded there is possibly too much history.
I just have to hope someone comes along and blows him out of the water!!!! *sigh*. Needle in a haystack much? :P

Aww Muffin you are so lucky to have a guy friend like that!! I say you should go for it if you are that attracted to him!
Or, at least casually bring it up in conversation in a jokingly way and see what he says!!

lol ok I have to explain my story from today in full for context!!!!

This morning I had a dream ...it was a happy dream. Actually I think it may of been my first girl sex dream, I could tell because there was no actual sex happening. oh gosh where is this heading...eerrrrrr..... so in the dream I was with a guy and we were walking around a city. He happens to say something not really silly and I jokingly suggest that he apologise so he writes me this amazingly hott letter, he wrote it as we walked (somehow). So he lets me read it OH YEAH the guy at some point turned into Gerard Butler (ok I've never ever considered him in anyway before, seen his movies, great, but nothing really flickered) which was strange as I never really fancied him at all (he was hott in the dream though). So I read the letter and it's amazing, it has me gasping for air reooww!!! So by the time I finish it I'm convinced he is the one! Perfection....bliss... that was pretty much the dream.
Earlier this week my "friend" suggested hanging out and it wasn't until the last minute and he said it could only be for an hour. I ignored his text at the time then told him yesterday that I ppfttt'd at his suggestion and he apologised. Truth is I felt like ->-bleeped-<- and was crabby from an online heated discussion. But meh.

So today we hang out and I tell him about my dream..... half way through telling him I'm like ($%*^ $@%^ $&%^.... just stay steady and finish the story $#%^ $%#^  $%&^). So I did and then changed the subject.
I hadn't given myself any time to ponder my dream before leaving and it didn't click until too late that maybe their was a connection between Gerards sorry note and my friends sorry txt and the fact that he pretty much is as hott as Gerard. I just hope he didn't read too much into it, if he did then he may now know that I consider him to be perfection >_________<

Since I swing both ways, I'll take a stab at the question.  So far, I've found Mr. Always-Right, Mr. Right-Now, and Mr. Right-Pain-in-the-a**, but Mr. Right himself still eludes detection.

 I met "mr Right" when I was on my computer ! He was a family friend I had known for years,I sitting there on my computer,fully dressed and made up when my friend walked in through my unlocked door,(which i had forgotten to lock).He stood at the computer room doorway and gave me the fright of my life,I was so embarrassed,but all he said to me was,"my god you look good enough to take to bed"! I spluttered out,"well why dont you? " And that was the way it started,I dont regret that moment at all,it was a life changing moment for me,and I am glad it happened.  ::)

You mean the one who broke up with me last year?
