QuoteBasic Rights Oregon has launched a survey of trans, genderqueer and gender non-conforming Oregonians who have experienced health care discrimination.
Quote from: Basic Rights OrgegonThe experiences gathered will help us enforce the health equity laws on the books, and work to improve health policies impacting trans Oregonians. This survey can help individuals get the medical care they need, and help trans communities as a whole access equal medical care...We recognize that surveys are frequently sent out to trans communities, and little follow-up and support is offered in return. Our intent here is to identify ways in which insurance laws are being violated, and ensure that those laws are fully enforced.

Awhile back there was a survey out in regards to Trans health issues. I filled it out. It was from Washington I believe but it was connected to BRO.
This is excellent news for our entire community on this website but especially for those of us on this thread so far. We are all Oregonians. Personally, I traveled over 3,000 miles to move here about 4 months ago specifically because Oregon in general and Portland in particular is trans-friendly. Thanks for the update. ;)
Oregonians! I'm moving to PDX from Seattle as we speak. What's the beta on hanging with other trans people here? I'm also not going to have insurance at least until January- are there subsidized medical institutions a la Lyon Martin here in PDX?
Thanks!
Alia
There are low cost clinics scatted round Multnomah county. They go on your income. I don't know of and specific clinics for trans people. There are a couple of doctors.
