6'2", rounding down (pout).
Though I've apparently lost as much as 1/2" in the last year. Fine by me ;)
5'2
I feel small
Rounding down 5'8"
I would love to be 5'2 or atleat 5'0.
I'm 5'9". I tower above most other women. Honestly, my height doesn't really bug me. As a woman, I know it makes me less likely to be attacked. ;D
Melissa
I am 5' 9" also.
Women are growing taller today, I see women who tower over me all the time here in California.
Sarah L.
5'10" and I like to wear heels. :)
While I am taller and blonder than most women, I have run into a lot of High School gals who tower over me. Most recently an older (and attractive) woman towered over me as well and I think she would have without the 5 inch platform shoes.
5'6"
When I was measured for recent surgery and according to my medical records, I've shrunk 1" in height over the past 20 years (I'm 43 now) including over 10 years on estrogen etc.
I used to be almost exactly the same height as a dear friend who I've known for over 25 years, but now I feel quite little compared to him. To be expected, really. So that puts me a little bit above the average women's height, I guess. Still wear heels to work though. :)
Thought I was 5'5", but last time I was at the doctor's I measured 5'6". I'm a bit too old to be growing on testosterone, so maybe I was mistaken before.

Yeah, I used to be the exact same height as my ex, but I lost an inch. Now she's taller than me. :P

Maybe you just stand taller, since you're so proud of yourself. ;D

5'5. Pretty short for a man, but not that unusual. I've had boyfriends shorter than me.

And I do have compairsons I used to be the same height as the Goon, and now hes deffinatly taller than me unless I throw on my boots..... *shrugs*
5'7" and shrinking!
Oh! What a world! What a world!
Julie
I'm 5'8". I hope what people say about shrinking on HRT is true. I'd love to be 5'6" or shorter.
Well, it seems you lose at least 1/2" and as much as around 2 inches.
Melissa
I'm 5' 7", and I am pretty satisfied with it!
tinkerbell :icon_chick:
5 feet, 11 inches on a good day (cringing). Thankfully, I'm no where as tall as six feet. As stated before, no hormones - yet.
Susan Kay
I am 5'7" (i lost years back was at age of 18 67.5")
Anyway Dcotor ruth the sex therapist said years ago on a tv show that 5'7" was the perfect hight for a lover..
Whatever that means..... :icon_pelvic_thrust2:
Sometimes i wish i was shorter and sometimes taller, although a lot of women i know are 5'6 and 5'7" that seems to be a common height for women? Ah HAH! i knew it i am a woman! WeHeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I'm 6'3" and addicted to my 5" heels, would love to be a foot smaller and have a smaller frame so I could wear ballgowns.
Wow, Kisa! At 4' 5" you are a tiny little thing, aren't you! I think that's just so cute!
My latest measurement is 69 inches, 5' 9", 1.7526 meters. A little tall for my real gender but not too bad. Spouse measures in at an even five feet so somebody around here has to be able to use the top shelves!

6' even, which is exactly what I wanted to be when I was growing up. Oh well, I'll know better next time.
I measured at 5' 1" a few months ago at the doctor's.

I suppose it's cute, most people think I'm a teen or a kid. I really hate it when people talk to me in a baby voice, its annoying, I don't think you should talk to anyone like that even kids. Also, if I want a drink or anything I need my ID. but the good thing about my height is During parades people throw candy at me, when I fall it isn't too bad, and some other things! I don't think I want to be tall, but I would like to be 5'4 :)
Most women I know are short, my granny was 4'9.

I definitely agree. It makes it harder for kids to learn to speak correctly.

Apparently if you start testosterone before your bones have stopped growing, you will grow taller than you would otherwise. I was 43 when I started T and I measure an inch higher at the doctor's office and friends think I've grown, but it doesn't seem physically possible, so maybe I had a slouch or something and it wasn't overly obvious.
I dunno, the medical world says it isn't possible, but some anecdotal evidence says it is (I'm not the only guy who's noticed it). Unfortunately anyway, it's pretty insignificant and could easily be explained by just standing straighter once you get rid of the front bumps.
Dennis
Well I was 5' 8" at one time now I'm pretty close to 5'7". I guess people get shorter after a certain age.
Anna
5'4" and I have no problems with that. Being taller would be nice but whatever. I'm short and soft... Basically I make a great teddybear. :D
pre-hrt, I was 5' 8"
Now 5' 6"
(okay....5' 6 1/2")
Bev
181 cm, or 5' 11" if you prefer.
Quite tall for a female bodied person, if I see the other responses. I would have been even taller, but I have had hormone treatment to prevent that. (Would have been 2.06 meters, or 6' 9" :o
Ah, Holland, home to the tallest people on the planet. (Yes, we've taken over from the Norwegians, who held the record for quite a long while).
5' 8" at twenty two.
One of my cousins who is thirteen is already my height lol...
6ft 1in
It's really depressing not being able to wear heels when I'm out and
don't want to be noticed.
I find I'm constantly judging my height against other women around me.
What I have discovered is that slim girls look a lot taller than they really
are, but if someone is tall but in proportion, it's difficult to judge their
height until you are really close up.
So I actually don't try to slim down too much, and work on balancing my
body shape without worrying too much about dress size.
OK... I'm paranoid...or maybe it's the lack of oxygen up here!.... ::)
Chrissty

My 16yr American niece is 5'11", 155lbs, same as I PolarBear, being a quite beautiful athletic girl I'd say don't sweat it, be proud!
:icon_bunch:
Oh, I really don't mind that I am this tall. It has several advantages, such as being able to look over shelves in stores to find my mother, who is tall as well. ;)
When I grew up I didn't mind it either, it was something special about me that no one else had. Plus people always thought I was older than I really was, which had its advantages as well. >:D
And while I am a tall female, should I decide I am really male, I fit right in with the rest of 'em!
Just under 5'3". I'm hoping I'll stop at 5'4" or 5'5" if I'm lucky. In a perfect world I'd make it to 5'6" or 5'8", but I know that's not going to happen.
It's unfortunate. My doctors say my body is too young for T. I'm 18. It's like they want my growth plates to close before I start. Is there really any risk in that extra growth spurt?
I'm 4'11". Unfortunately. If it were up to me I'd be a respectable height--at least 5'2", up to 5'6" maybe. Wouldn't want to tower over anyone, but... *sigh* I'd like to tower over SOME people. x/ I've given up on growing.
The last time that my height was taken by my doctor, it was 5' 6 1/2"
I wish that my weight would cooperate! Pre HRT, I was a size 11 jean. Now, I can kinda wear size 13. Kinda. I'd rather look cute than breathe!!!
5'5. typical female height. :P
I am 6'1 and weigh 172. I have noticed that there are a lot of GG here in MN/WI that are as tall or taller than me. I went out last night to a couple of bars and noticed that about 10% of the girls out last night we as tall as myself. I also noticed that they like myself were wearing flats and not heels.

Dude, time to get new doctors, one's that aren't idiots. Worse thing that happens if you are not finished growing and start "T" is that you'll grow a bit more. The Sooner you start on HRT of whatever kind, the better off you will be... 18? Damn, that's MORE than old enough to start "T" slowly and work your way up! Seriously, find a new doctor, this one sounds like a throw back... I know a few FTM's in PA who started "T" younger than you are, and they are fine. Growth to stop, that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard of in my life!
Get a second opinion, really. Like from a Doctor that has actually helped some folks transition and knows what the frak he's talking about. This one is just taking your money and wasting your time...
Sam
Thank you, greeneyegirl. My thoughts are very similar. I'll be pushing my needs when the time is right... right now isn't the time to start because I have so much going on. I have to wait for an opening.
Now, my medical doctor doesn't say I'm too young. But she isn't the one that approves T. The psychologists do, and they're the ones that think I'm too young... ugh. Well, one of them said that. I have psychiatrist who wants me to address anxiety, but she also said that GID causes me more stress (implying that transition would be good for me). None of them doubt that I'm GID, but they seem to be pulling my chain. I'm seeing a new therapist in September and to him I will voice my concerns...
I've been on HRT now for just over four years. Pre HRT I was a solid 6 feet, sometimes a little bit more. Now, I'm 5'10" so without question I've lost 2 full inches.
People of any gender start to lose height after a certain age to what they call microfractures. In MTF persons, HRT ushers in a new age for the body, and almost always means a lose of some height. Again, near as anyone can figure, microfractures...
I know plenty of women like myself who've lose a inch or two... All I can say in my case, is rock on! Though to be honest, height was always the least of my worries, because I know plenty of natals who tower over me easily. One of my good friends is 6'3" in bare feet, and is a big girl. I feel like a shrimp when she gives me a hug. Post transition she can wrap her arms around me and rest her chin on my head. She is so totally the text book Norse Goddess figure...

Ah, that makes things that much more clear... Why though are you letting a psychologist push you around? This one is an IDIOT, that much is obvious. This one probably thinks Zucker, Blanchard and Bailey are visionaries, the "The Clark" in Canada an institution of sanity and reality.
Yeah, time to get a new psychologist, and if that doesn't work, do an... What do they call it in football? Ah, yes, and end run around them. The harm reduction model says that if you start HRT on your own, they cannot tell you NO YOU MUST STOP, instead they give you scripts and monitor you like they are supposed to.
Just a thought...
Sam
Wow! 2 inches. That's crazy. My dad says he shrunk and inch (he's 44).
I am now 5ft 9, before I started HRT I was 5ft 11 so I have lost 2 inches in height to.
Buffy
5 5
Same as Emo and Nero, 5'5". I always told people I was 5'6", my license said 5'6", then I got my height measured at the Doctor at the end of last year and I was an even 5'5".
5'6'' wanna be 6'5'' though
Do you know how many cars you will have trouble fitting into at 6'5" Chris? Some are cramped at my height, and if you are a bigger guy, it only gets worse.
I am 6'-6'1" (pre-hrt)
Currently 180 pounds, down from 210-215 (since Feb)
Most of the women here are low-mid 5 foot, and almost as big around. Yeah, I will tower over most, losing 2inches would be nice.
I am 6'3 , and hoping that I lose a some height, like what has mentioned above. I also am working on losing weight, 225-230lbs right now. Anyway would love to be 6ft and about 170. If I don't lose the height I will still wear heels. It's funny I loved being tall growing upi and now I want to be a lot shorter, but I know I will only lose an inch or two and that is ok. I will just have to deal with being a very tall woman.
Hugz to all,
Ariana
5' 10" - 6' 1" in heels ;)
We're not going to talk about weight.
5' 8"
I kind of like my size. Not too tall, not too short. I am of course taller than a lot of other women but I've never been bothered by it, because I have a lot of GG girlfriends that are taller than me as well. I also seem to still be shorter than most guys in my area, so it's a good in-between height and I like it.
I'm 5'8", too. I'm cool with it. I've never felt too out of the realm of normalcy, whatever that may be.
5'5", I think. Don't mind being short (for a guy) but I sure wouldn't mind being a bit taller either.
