My therapist at kaiser-permante referred me to a couple of sites that may interest the members. Please contact me for the information. They have telephone voice therapy available as well as a CD. BTW my therapist told me that she will OK me for GRS but that was a given. She thinks my voice is fine. I might be beating myself up too much re: my voice because I get "sir" on the phone, but she says my voice sounds in the female range already and people read me as female because I look female.
Anyway, I still want to stop getting sir on the phone, too.
I'm interested, but unfortunatly I think I'm too new to do PMs, would you be able to pm me?

I have the Andrea James course, it hasn't done much good for me, she has got a lot of stuff on there that is first time instruction and you have to sort past all that to get to the exercises. I am going to try this other CD, unlike Andrea, this woman has credentials.
It is probably a good thing that Susan doesn't allow direct links, there are a lot of hucksters out there who pretend to be activists who are actually people who want to take advantage of TGs.
For some more female voice tips, I have a thread right here on Susans:

And for anyone who wants to practice, my cell number is 425-478-5848. Ulterior motive: I just like to chat on the phone. :)

Karen, I'll try to call if you don't mind, but let me know when a good time is. I'm Phyl.
Hi Phyl! The last time we chatted I forgot to ask if you're east or west coast. I'm on the west and started back to work this week but any time on the weekends is still good.
How has the practicing been going?
