I wrote this in high school, and then rewrote it a week later. I submitted it along with 4 other pieces for a portfolio project that was required of all students before graduation, and I believe this is what earned me a frogs hair away from the Distinguished rating.
I noticed it sitting on one of my external harddrives and went back to it a few hours ago. I corrected a few errors that popped up when I rewrote it, changed the ending, and reworded some things.
I'd love to get some feedback and critique on it. I didn't spend a lot of time on it, just an hour every other day or so. I didn't know about the project until two weeks before it was due and had to come up with something fast, and this is it.
I took a lot of inspiration from Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter series because that's just what I was reading at the time, so if you're familiar with her work, you'll catch references to it here and there, and blatant ripoffs every now and again.
Without further ado, you may find it here. (http://goo.gl/el4b)
EDIT: Moved to Google Docs so you don't have to download anything.
