Hi
It's a sad reality that children will continue to be abuse like this until we learn that they are independant and not simply reflections of us.
Hi Jenny,
I am sadden to hear about another abusive parent.
Your among friends here.
Welcome to Susan's.

It was always MY childhood dream to fly like a bird! Never happened. :D Welcome abroad!
Welcome to Susan's, there are lots of good people here with lots of good info on all sorts of things.
I am sorry your father behaved the way he did. As a parent of two now adult children, I cannot understand how anyone could treat their kids the way some here have been treated. Everytime I read a story like yours I am both saddened and angry.
I hope you have been able to put the past behind you and find a happy life for yourself.
Hugs , Sandra.
Welcome, I am also saddened by the atmosphere that you grew up in. I to can remember dressing at about 4 years of age. There is a loving caring family here. Please stay as long as you like

Alcohol and angry can be such a powerful explosion. I used to dream I could fly, till I began transition.
Hugs and Love,
Janet
Hi, Jenny:
You are NOT alone, hon.
I went through crap like you did ... and then some. I'm not trying to compete or compare. Just believe me when I tell you that you are not the only one who went through major-league bull_____ growing up.
The doo-doo I went through was so f_____ed up that I literally could not tell anybody about it. Why not? They would think I was making it up! Anyway, that was then, and this is now. The bad news is you will NEVER get entirely over that childhood stuff, really. The good news is, it does NOT have to ruin your present life and your future life. It really is true that as we think, so are we. The point? Dwell on the you that you want to become, can become and are becoming. Rock on, girl!
You are finally coming out to yourself and being yourself. Prepare to really enjoy it, because it's a great experience! Welcome to our e-family. ;)
