Title: should i pack or not
Post by: anibioman on September 07, 2010, 02:38:15 AM
i will be coming out at school this year but im not sure if i should pack or not..... as some people will know me as male others as female so i dont want to confuse or offend anybody. :embarrassed:

also more about packing at school... should i pack at school dances since there is much grinding involved and for people to accept me as male i feel i should pack but yet again i dont want to offend anybody. so im not sure what to do? :-\

Hum, of course nobody can tell you what will be best for you. I tell you that I don't pack for the same reasons. Even though packing would maybe make me feel better. Sometimes I think I don't need it, still.
Why don't you pick a random school day to pack and try how it makes you feel.

Pack when and where it feels right for you, don't choose whether to pack or not for "other people's" benefit.
The content's of your underwear is no-one else's business.

Agreed. Don't do it for anyone else, do it when you feel it's right. If someone actually is "offended" by what is in your pants they have a problem. I'd say the same thing rather you were trans or not. Anyone who is so preoccupied with what is in another person's underwear that they actually get themselves bothered (in a nonsexual manner of course) over it has some kind of issue in my opinion.

If anyone says something to you one way or the other I would expect you to be the offended party in that conversation. What business is it of theirs what steps you'd like to take in your transition or how you feel comfortable in your own clothes?

Honestly if someone ever brought the subject up to me I'd tell them to blow my packer (or lack of it lol).

Well -- That's pretty much how I am, but I don't have a packer yet.
But if you're going to come out, then inform your teachers and friends... They shouldn't be offended and most teachers will support you if students become harsh. Luckily for me though, I have a friend who is also FTM and he's going to pack when I do so we'll both feel awkward but whole *nod nod*

If it's going to bother people then they'll have to suck it up if they really care for you, Do it for yourself~

I pack for my own peace of mind. If I don't, I feel naked and extremely dysphoric. I feel like everyone can see through me to my lack of a bulge if I don't. If anything...when I started transitioning years ago it would mess with people's heads and I'd be like yeah....I told you I had a penis.

I pack for my own comfort, not for what it looks like. To be honest I don't think anyone else can tell if I'm packing or not and I really don't care. I just feel "naked" without it.
