Title: Question About T?
Post by: MarcoMacabre on September 12, 2010, 04:31:01 PM
I have a question about T? If your parents/guardians  allow you to get T, and you have a therapist's letter are you allowed to get T before 18? I'm 16 currently and my mother doesn't mind me getting T and I have my therapist's letter only my mother says that the doctor probably won't give me T until I turn 18. Is that true? Because I've seen on here that some people have obtained T before their 18th birthday. I live in Michigan, United States if that has an effect to anything.

I think it all depends on how knowledgeable your doctor is....I know the earlier that you can start the proper hormones for you ... the better outcome you will have.  Here in MN I know we have minors as young as 11 getting hormone blockers and starting hormones at 15.  If you can't get T I suggest you ask for hormone blockers to prevent your body from going through any more puberty of the wrong gender
