I'm a fairly feminine FTM and having a lot of trouble passing. I bind so I have no chest but I don't pack much. I'm concerned that I'm too feminine looking and if anyone noticed it would be strange. Also, I can't get my packer to sit correctly(?) I'm extremely short (5'1" TT_TT) and so anytime I try to pack, it's extremely noticeable... My dress style is kinda "emo" I guess so I wear a lot of skinny jeans, even though I know a lot of people say it's not advised for FTMs to do so. Also, I have shoulder length hair and I'd rather not cut it, but if I have to I will. I'm just very concerned that I'll cut it off and it wont help any and just look bad.. >_>
Help please?

Agreed, you pass best when your eyes/eyebrows are covered. I think you'd pass more if you ditched the eye makeup and let your eyebrows grow naturally.
I am on the same page about not passing well enough to wear a packer, cause im worried people will be extra confused by it.
I really like your hair, but I dont think it is helping you any. have you thought about getting an emo guy cut? something around the ears that is shaggy with long bangs? You dont have to go super short

Definately this. I think you look very masculine on that picture.
It's definitely near the eyes/eyebrow area. I noticed that off the bat as well. Thicker eyebrows tend to be more masculine :) give it a shot and you might be passing a lot more.
Hi. I am MTF, but looking at the pics on the link in your post, you do need to cut your hair. Maybe go for the skater look. Your face has delicate features I an jealous of. But I beleive that with the right cut, youll look like a pretty boy.....you can do thisx!!! good luck
Just want to say, this is a small detail, but I really like your hands. I think they look quite masculine. I like your lip piercings as well, but I'm going to have to agree with the others when they say a haircut would help you pass more. For some reason those big (stylish) sunglasses help you look more masculine as well.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do though.
I agree with the haircut, but also, noticed a couple rings in one pic. Most guys don't wear many rings. Small detail, but might help...
I think you are quite masculine in general but I have a few tips to help you out.
In your last pic (sunglasses and red shirt) you do 100% pass in my opinion.
However, I imagine if you took the glasses off there would be a couple of things that would make you more feminine and you might not pass anymore.
Don't use eye liner. In makes you look feminine in your other pictures. Yes emo guys use it and get away with it because their masculine features override the feminising effect of the eyeliner. But for you, you are going for as male as possible so I would stay away from it.
Your piercings in the last picture (silver ones) are fine, but the large black ones in the other pictures are very feminine looking to me. I would not use those either. For guys, jewellery is very dull, plain and simple looking. Silver studs are ok.
Your wrist bracelets are quite female also. Guys never really wear anything on their wrists, unless it is a chunky gold chain.
Need to grow the eyebrows out. Your eyebrows look plucked which make you look more feminine (I want to pluck mine but i can't yet as Im still in male mode and afraid people will notice). Genetic males give their eyebrows zero maintenance and let them grow out whatever way they happen to.
I think you should probably keep your hair no longer than your chin. If you cut it short I think it would probably help. Not many males with long hair.
It's so much easier for FTMs than MTFs with transiton. You almost have to do nothing to pass, whereas we are *very* high maintenance to present as female.
Good luck!

I'm having the same problem. I'm shorter than you too. I'm about 4'10. My hair is about the same length as yours and I don't wanna cut my hair either. I like my hair long like that. I used to be able to pass as a boy and now I'm not sure what the problem is. None of my features have change since the last time I was able to pass so I'm not sure what the problem is now.
I'd say once you get on T... if you ever decide to get on T you won't have to cut your hair b/c you'll be able to pass as a guy.
You have very nice hair! :D I'm thinking cut it just a tad shorter and part it more sideways. Filling in your eyebrows will also do wonders. Also I think you should wear more eyeliner. When you wear it just on the waterline it's very feminizing, but it will not be if you wear it thick and dark. (Think Adam Lambert.) Before I came out and I went though my "guyliner" phase, what I would do is apply eyeliner to my waterline, and just a little bit beneath the waterline. With a smudge brush I would then blend it so that I had a nicely blended smudge effect, repeat for the top lashline. :)

I really have to disagree about some of this. I think you forgot a lot of men like to wear watches. A masculine/gender neutral watch could do nicely, unless someone has very thing wrists, sometimes wearing something on it overemphasizes it. I see a lot of younger guys wearing sweatband type things on their wrists, and if someone is into the rave scene, the clear/neon jelly bracelets or glowlight bracelets tend to be pretty popular. Sure, some of this may be considered more feminine by the 'macho' dudes, but I have never found it to be one or the other, it just kind of is.
I also disagree that FtMs don't need to do anything to pass. It shouldn't be a competition anyways, but some FtMs/genderqueer folks have to do a lot of work to pass as masculine, especially regarding the body. Bulking up here, concealing there, flattening this, etc. :)
Being older and coming from the other direction , I would say that as well as your eyebrows, your eyelashes are a clue. As for the watch etc, I'd ditch the jewellery and get a chunky stainless steel type watch ( Rolex copy type). Your lip piercings are a help but I would be careful with the choice of head gear, and try and get your hair a bit messier rather than think about haircuts.
8/10 I'd say as a parent. ( Not banished to the garage, but likely to get hassled!!)
