Title: One breast is growing faster that the other
Post by: Stephanie Stephens on September 15, 2010, 07:34:19 AM
The title says it all I guess. I have been on finasteride and estrogen for 1.5 years now and one of my breast is developing nicely. The other is not and I am concerned that I will end up lopsided. Have any of you girls had this happen and how did it work out.
Thank you,

Stephanie

Breasts don't always grow at the same rate, even in genetic girls.  Don't worry things will work out.

Exactly. One of my breasts started growing about 6 months or one year later than the other, and/or grew somewhat slower (don't remember  exactly any more *shudder*). I ended up having B on one side and between A and B on the other, it was not much of a difference.

Having had the privilege of seeing quite a  lot of teenage girls in the locker rooms when I grew up, asymmetrical breast growth seems to be normal (this I remember more vividly ;D).

Just chiming in that it's quite natural to have one breast be bigger than the other.  I've been told that if the difference is greater than one cup size, you're supposed to get bras to fit the bigger one and add padding on the smaller side.  Uhhh, I'm somewhat lopsided, but I haven't tried it myself.  Good luck, Stephanie!

Yeah. And that's exactly how it goes. Many women do this, pad the one side of the bra which has a smaller size than the other one. And feel ashamed of having asymmetrical breasts, not knowing how many other women use that trick as well. (Or feeling so self-conscious that they forget they're not the only ones there.) I heard a couple of conversations about it in my life.

You can find appropriate padding in the appropriate stores. (I don't remember where, I never padded - for christ's sake!). Female underwear stores or the departments where you buy sewing stuff etc., I think, that's where I saw that stuff.

The shame about breast asymmetry is silly, at least when it is not restricted to clothes looking weird on you. Cause breasts are not made to look at and admire for their symmetry or size, they are made to grab them, suck them, knead them etc. and feel happy and ecstatic about it. And there's no need of symmetry there. And many, many women have asymmetrical breast. Who cares? People usually only get to see them once they're hot. And in these moments, they don't care about this, they just want to have fun then. Or you'll have this situation with other women in the locker room, and 90% of the women are very self-conscious about their looks, and the other 10% tend to be such arrogant jerks that this alone makes them unattractive. And I suppose nobody will ever make fun of you there if you end up having asymmetrical breasts.

Okay, I'm over-generalizing here, but let me say that many women are so much into their looks and so over-critical about it that it really destroys many of them. Which is sad. So many great and sensual personalities (who I'd like to mount right away) torturing themselves for nothing and thinking no one would ever be attracted to them...

Hey, women come in all shapes and styles. There is not just one way to be beautiful (though I personally prefer the small chubby ones). Don't buy into the media bull->-bleeped-<-, okay, they influence males as well especially if they want to boast in front of their friends, but - hey, they represent only one style and that's not to everybody's taste.

Now I know, many guys are very visual when it comes to sexual attraction. But many of them also report as well - certain body types seem more attractive to them on a visual level, others seem more attractive on a tactical level - holding in your arms, cuddling, grabbing etc. So quite a lot of guys are kind of torn in-between there, wanting a Claudia Schiffer to look at and a chubby girl to cuddle. Plus they remember former sexual encounters with you, or with the girls they've been dating before, and this also influences them and whether they think you're attractive or not. Now don't ask me about girls, I don't understand them well.

Most difficult thing when dating females: convince them that you find them attractive, and that you have a different taste than the silly unattractive tall and bony norm represented in the media (sorry I'm really into small chubby girls so I'm biased here), and that their body is perfect as it is and that you don't feel sexually attracted to them in spite of their looks, but because of them, plus because of their personality. It's really difficult to get that message through, dang! They may even call you a liar though you just look at them and immediately think: "I want to screw her right now - and marry her right after that". And they tend to get so self-conscious on stuff like "one breast is bigger than the other". I mean, who cares about the size as long as the person's hot and once you're having sex anyway and they're both fun to play with?

Interesting little article Bibilinda.
My left is a little larger than the right but both are still gowning at 9.5 months.
My wife's left is larger than her right too. I think it's natural.
So I would not worry about it Stephanie.
Very few women are lucky enough to have both the same size without surgery.

Thank you all for your wonderful replies. I was wondering if my dose of estrogen was not enough but now I think I will keep it as it is.

Also, just to add that just because they're growing like this doesn't mean the final result will be asymmetrical. (And if it is, as others have pointed out, there are ways around it, both surgical and otherwise.)

Completely normal. I think the left is usually bigger actually.

Thats normal even for GG women typically one breast will be bigger or smaller sometimes correlating to your handedness.  I have it as well one is a little smaller then the other.  I just make a joke of it and say one is %2 lowfat the other is %1 lowfat.

Yeah like everyone else is saying, lopsided growth is normal, they'll usually end up about the same size- though the left one is usually slightly larger (just like with nuts the left one is usually lower)

Thank you every one for your responses.
My right breast has now slowed down in the pain department (that's the one that was growing faster than the other). Maybe the other will now grow a bit and catch up. I'll keep you all posted.

Yep, know what you mean.  I have exactly this same issue.  Right side is coming in fantastically well.  Left side is lagging noticeably but is coming along.  God, I hope she catches up!    :-\

Same here, my left one grows faster. Then it slows down and the right one will catch up then the left one starts growing again. Very annoying !! It makes my bra fit crooked, I have to keep pulling the right one up, so they look the same. It's funny I have the same problem with my hair. The left side grows faster and healthier. Which makes no sense because I am right handed, you would think the right side would be the healthier and grow faster side?

I will just have to walk sideways, when I enter a room. ;D

 Hi Erocse

You look very pretty, how do you keep such a beautiful smile?

Thank you, Stephanie.

It's funny, I never smiled much before. My wife always give me a hard time about it. Sometimes I tried really hard to smile for a picture. It just looked forced. It happened so often they teased me about it. They said I looked like the "cat who swallowed the canary . I guess back then I just didn't have anything to smile about. ???

But that was then, and this is now, Thank god !!!

   Hugs, Erocse :-*

Erocse

It is sort of like the gag on the 70's show when a girl is examining Fez's hand and asks why one is bigger - having had "breasts" as a male most all my life I've noticed the left is slightly bigger than the right. I'm right handed which means the muscles in that shoulder get a wider range of movement in a sort of workout, eating, drinking, writing, brushing (what is left of) my hair, brushing my teeth, etc. which works off some of stored "fat".

You have a nice smile and I like the pose...

I love the 70s show, or may I just loved the 70s.

I was reading an article the other day. It was about little things that could  improve your mental skills. Anyway, it mentioned using the opposite hand (you normally use)to do things like brush your hair or teeth, for fifteen or so minutes a day. They suggested that it stimulated the opposite side of the brain that is normally less active. In doing so it would cause more growth on that side of the brain. And from what I understand the right side of the brain controls the left side of the body and so on. I don't know maybe if you use the opposite hand to do things and it does stimulate the opposite side of the brain , maybe it could cause more growth on that side of the body???  I guess I can give it a try and let you know in a couple of years  and after dozens of glasses spilled across the table because I tried to pick them up with the wrong hand.

   Hugs , Erocse

And thanks for the complement, Brook. :)

My wife has trouble signing the electronic pads when using a credit card - she had a mild case of polio when she was little and had to learn how to write left handed.  Adjusting to using your left hand sometimes takes a different angle than what you would normally use with the right hand.

Good luck experimenting!

I know I am the newbie here and only a month and a half into my mtf hrt but I too am asymmetric with my left breast growing much faster than my right. I really don't care because I just glad to have them.
