Title: re-introduction
Post by: iris1469 on September 17, 2010, 01:37:02 PM
Hi again. I have been on this site a long time ago, during some very dark times in my life. I was a drug abuser, addicted to slammiong meth on a daily basis. I did things that no one would be proud of to support my habit. The reason I am doing a re-introduction is because for the past 15 months I have been sober, working  on a daily basis to make myself a better higher quality person that I was the day before. I no longer degrade myself to support a drug habit. Instead I have been able to setttle down with my own place to live october 1st marks 1 year! I am on my ninth month (in a row) seeing my doctor and getting my monthly hormone injection through him.

I want to work in intervention. Because I know that there are others that are in living their darkest moments. I want to reintroduce light into someones life. Hopefully helping another help themselves...blah blah blah

thanks for having me!

Iris!

It's good to have you back!  And I am proud of you for your achievement.  It isn't easy.

And thank you for wanting to help others.  That is the way we also help ourselves.  It isn't "blah blah blah ".  It's important.  Because of your example, you may pull someone else from the edge.

We've all had our dark times and when there is someone there to help bring light where there was none, can be a lifesaver!

Thank you!

-Sandy

All of us have done things we are not proud of, Iris.  But that is no reason not to go on.  And, no, I do not remember who you are specifically and if you wish to remain anonymous about your past, then leave it in the past.  No one will pry.

Welcome home.

Welcome back Iris.  And congratulation of getting over the meth.

Many have overcome something that they used to kill the pain of GID.

Now you can move forward to the person you were meant to be.
