Heyyy everyone!!!! ;D ;D ;D
This has been asked 1000000 times i'd say, but the search funtion never works for me.
I was wondering if you are young say 18 years old, will HRT put my hair on your head?? Thats all a really want to no.
Thanks :) :)
PS take a look at this song sooo good :) (haha a little off topic, but it;s so good :P)
The Script - For The First Time (w/ Lyrics) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VwA3DWdUfNk#)
Well everyone is different. Some people don't lose much hair, some people bald prematurely and lose lots of hair early on. Reducing your testosterone levels will almost certainly help with your hair line, but results are different for everyone I'd imagine.
For me, on my 7th month of HRT, I have noticed a substantial difference in the overall volume of my hair. For the sides of my bangs, where most men would start to lose their hair first, it's started to grow back in, Granted I didn't lose much, because I am still young (25).
It is also growing back just above my sideburns, more into the middle of my forehead.
*will HRT put my hair on your head*
)That's made me larf real hard for a multitude of wrong reasons)
Yep...HRT of either type will impact on body hair and dist' patterns....
And being dyslexic a tad maself I can relate to your writing style too.... :P

Why not just "will HRT put my lost hair back on my head?" either way I'd gladly accept your hair, I could certainly use it~ :D
Seriously though, it surely does so! I've probably asked that a millions of time elsewhere on few other forums. Taking finasteride helps too, I'm trying to get a prescription from my doctor but she's like "propecia? finasteride? what are those? ???" quite a hopeless situation.

Might be for the best... there's some disturbing word of mouth about some of the potential side effects of Finasteride and Dutasteride, stemming mostly from the fact that the 5AR enzyme preforms more conversions than just T->DHT which are also inhibited.

Like what kinda of side effects? I'm on finasteride so if there's any evidence of such, I'd be interested in knowing. :)

Sorry for the massive delay in replying to this thread, I kinda forgot I had posted here, lol.
The side effects are mainly neurological, mind fog in particular. The most serious concern is that some have reported that these side effects have not resolved long after discontinuing finasteride.
I did an pretty extensive post about a year ago about this, you can find it here https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,69988.msg475607.html#msg475607 (https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,69988.msg475607.html#msg475607)
Also a google can get you a lot of info.
I started HRT at 28 and I am seeing baby hairs out of my front scalp.....but your mileage may vary =)
From my understanding, it won't help regrow a huge patch, but more so prevent further loss with some minor regrowth.
